The Witcher 3 — Wild Hunt

This is not a review of the game but a personal opinion about the game itself.
Wikipedia says “ The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt[a] is an open world action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt RED.” Well that is quite a long description if you haven’t played this game, because after playing it for 30+ hours i feel even this description is short!
Lets categorize this game one by one:
- Open World
- Action
- Role Playing
- Story Rich
- Fantasy
- Atmospheric
- And many more
In simple words, this game has it all. It has beautiful graphics, amazing and fascinating story, great role playing engine, open world dynamic. And the best part is the dialogues each dialogue gives you the decision power which can have various consequences, this element simply enhances the level of game play to something extraordinary.
To show you the credibility of my words above you can verify, this game has won over 800 awards, including The Game Awards 2015: Game of the Year, Best RPG and Developer of the Year; Golden Joystick Awards 2015: Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Gaming Moment, Studio of the Year, Ultimate Game of the Year.
These many awards prove how good this game is, i can play this game for hours on end, if it wasn’t this tough. I always play for a couple of hours complete some amazing story-line and end up at a boss fight where i get stuck for hours. After getting fed up of getting defeated a hundred times I stop it. But after a few hours of rest and new planning i get back to that monster and kick the shit out of it.
Ohh the monsters in this game, they are as gross as they come. Very detailed and precise, they can make you have nightmares if you are not careful. Lets place the photo of one of them here.

Well aren’t they scary, this image is a bit low-res but in the real game the can give you nightmares for days. I reached this level just a couple of nights ago, and after looking at them the first time i was sure if i look at them anymore i will have nightmares so i simply kept my eyes down and heard the conversation only. I just hope I don’t run into them again.
Even if I do have to run into them i can always skip the mission, because of the great open world aspect of the game. One can roam around the various part of the world map as much as they want. Even when in the middle of a mission. Once it so happened that a special bomb was required to kill a monster but i did not had the ingredients for it, so i had to leave the mission in the middle and go out and acquire all the ingredients and make the bomb so that i can proceed.
Figuring this part was quite fun actually, because before this in any of the games i have played leaving a mission was not allowed. But this game actually encourages it, one time i encountered a group of monsters which were way stronger than my character, a hint popped up on my screen saying you can always run away from an enemy if you feel you can not defeat them. This hint actually made me laugh because all the other games generally designed so that they play with your ego that how can i not defeat this enemy. But not witcher this game gives you the real life choices of “Fight or Flight” .
I am still in the middle of this game I will try to share more insights about the game as it proceeds.
