An email list is the single most important asset a brand can have. It’s an independent and free line of communication between a brand and its community. That being said, it takes a tremendous amount of effort to not only build an email list but deliver consistently valuable content. Companies have entire divisions dedicated to email marketing. If you’re starting out this can seem daunting. A good primer to this is Tinyletter.

Tinyletter is a service created by Mailchimp. It’s a simple newsletter distribution service. The power it has is minimalism. Many email marketing services offer an overwhelming amount of templates, buttons, auto-responders, and other useful tools. But it’s overkill for the nascent brand that just wants to speak to their community.

The newsletter should be personal and written by the head of the company. It’ll lose the authenticity if written by anyone else. Try Tinyletter for free. It’s the easiest step into email marketing.
