Everyone wants a bargain

Regardless of your industry people want something extra. Something that’s not on the menu. A price that is lower than the list. They want to feel special and know they got a bargain no one else is getting.

I worked for a small business that knew this well. They factored in discounting tiers into their prices. There are plenty of industries that do this. From car salesmen to software providers. But this small business was the first in their industry to do this. It works not because they’re tricking customers, it’s the value they provide. Whatever price you end up paying, the value is the same. Not options removed. No specs adjusted.

The price can change but the value cannot.
