Everyone prefers to be kept informed on the things they care about. Especially your customers. Amazon has done a remarkable job in changing their order tracking from “by 8PM” to “your package is 4 stops away.” Keeping the customer in the loop and staying true to your word is always the right decision.

Hotels can experiment in this area. There’s nothing worse your room not being ready after arriving from a long day of travel. Or if you’re returning to your hotel room and it’s still being cleaned. A simple text message system or FB message could be resolve this problem.

This is just one example of using existing tech to satisfy your customers. What’s a part of your business that can be more informative?
