Leaving the customer alone

I spoke to a store owner today about customers browsing her shop. She said her biggest pet-peeve is customers who ignore her. “Most of them have their damn headphones in and don’t want to hear my story about my new products! Jerks!”

Here’s the thing, the customer can do whatever they’d like; they’ll buy if they’re interested. There’s no point in belittling or hating a prospect. Instead, give them a reason to look up for their phone.

The point is being comfortable. The moment a person can feel at ease in a new space is when the buying mind can turn on. Let them feel welcomed.
