My Goals Are Changing
Re-evaluating goals is important to all professionals.
As some of you may have noticed, I have been missing for a few days.
The reason was simple I was knackered. We have had a couple of hectic days and I wanted to chill on the sofa with a good book, rather than write.
All writers need to chill and attend to their own needs sometimes.
It is good to recharge your batteries.
Over time I realised my goals have changed.
I no longer check my stats daily, to see how well I am doing. The first I knew of this months earnings was when I received the email saying how much was in my Stripe account.
I am writing for the love of writing, but there is something deeper than that.
I have found my purpose and main writing goal.
More than writing, I want to help other writers, achieve their goals. I want to support and cheerlead for my fellow writers.
It’s the teacher in me. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than supporting and helping others.
It isn’t going to make me a fortune. I have a coaching business on Patreon, which I charge a small fee for. I have also offered a $5 feedback tier to my Patreon.
Mainly though, I do it because I love it.
What this means for my writing is
The pressure is off. I will continue writing, but if I miss a day I am going to chill about it.
I will also continue working with my Facebook group, providing support for all my writers.
