Verb Tense Illustrations
The Grade 7 students have been learning about verb tenses (especially the difference between the simple tenses and progressive tenses). To check whether or not they understand the difference between the two, I let them draw sentences that have the same verb in different tenses. Here are some of the funniest and most entertaining drawings I have come accross.
I will be devouring a 4-Cheese Whopper this time tomorrow. vs. Once, I devoured a burger in three minutes.
The rat nibbles on cheese each morning. vs. The rat is nibbling on cheese in the kitchen.
