The More Elevated Your Consciousness, the Lonelier the Path
It’s something you’ll just have to accept.
Being lonely is nothing to be embarrassed about. And when you’re on a spiritual path, you find yourself resonating with fewer and fewer vibrations of others. It can become uncomfortable to feel disconnected from the rest of the world. But there’s no going back to the way things used to be. I think you know that already.
As you elevate your consciousness, it becomes agonizing to be in society. You simply can’t become “one of them” again. The same activities don’t excite you and the same conversations don’t interest you — those were appealing to a mundane life. To join the crowd you have to play a role, and that’s uncomfortable. To be a human participating in this game of society, you have to muster up a lot of strength and perseverance.
But being lonely doesn’t have to be bad all the time. You have to learn to integrate the sadness and hopelessness. You have to sit with it and hold space for it. Things will never be the way they used to be. Perhaps once, you had many friends and enjoyed an existence of great social connections. But as your ego “dies” you learn that few of these people were true friends and others have no place in the next part of your journey. Maybe you can start to see that this is a good thing.
