Registration for the Next Exosphere Academy Program is Now Open!
The 8th Wave Will Break on the Coasts of Florianópolis, Brazil
Half of our Mid-year Exosphere Academy Program has passed and our 32 participants have already been iterating and advancing their projects, learning about new technologies, and developing the skills that will put them one step ahead of everybody else when they go back home.
In the meantime, we are excited to announce that registration for our next program is now open.
Exosphere Academy’s 8th program will start the 9th of January, 2017 and will take place near the beautiful city of Florianópolis, in Brazil.
That’s right, you read correctly. After 3 years based in Chile, our next program will take place in gorgeous Brazil, and boy are we excited about it.
Exosphere Academy Program January 2017 — The 8th Wave is coming
We have already talked a lot about the Creative Economy (like here and here) but at Exosphere we practice what we preach. Our programs (like our participants) are always adapting and evolving. We are also on a path of lifelong learning, acquiring new skills, and becoming more prepared for the future.
This is why we strive to make every program better than the previous one, providing more options, more knowledge, and constantly improving the experience. We can say that we have now succeeded seven times in a row.
Program Streams
To continue being one of the most interdisciplinary environments in the world, the next edition of the program offers a variety of new streams to choose from.
Design, Philosophy, and Biohacking will be returning, led by the same Fellows but with new and bigger objectives. Design and Biohacking will now be project streams: “Alternative reality Design”, “Microbial Fuel Cells” and “Bioremediation” respectively.
We will also repeat the Coding stream, but with the advance of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, we will now focus on Python Coding in order to help participants be part of technologies that are going to shape the years to come. And aligned to this objective, we have developed a Blockchain App Dev stream to continue with our work on a technology that can revolutionize all of the spheres of our day to day lives.
In addition to these, we are offering streams for Internet of Things, Entrepreneurship, Drone Olympics, and Mars Colonization (yes, we are being serious). And like always, the core curriculum of the program is focused on Business Skills & Leadership, Social Intelligence & Communication, and Psychology & Personal Growth.
Throughout our time operating in this field, we’ve become first hand spectators and understood what is missing both in education and entrepreneurship. We also understand that the opposite of evolution is decay. This is why we decide to keep changing, learning, and growing. We navigate the Creative Economy ourselves, and we want to teach you how to do it.
The streams, fellows, and skills may change with each edition of the program. However, what has characterized Exosphere since the beginning, and always will, is the core philosophy behind everything we do. It is this light that shows us our way and guides us to help build the better world we want to live in. All of these are just pieces of the bigger puzzle that we are putting together, where an interdisciplinary environment and a learn-by-working-on-projects approach is part of educational experiences around the world.
