Save money while exploring the world

If you work remotely you have the privilege to work from anywhere you want to. Spending 3–6 months at a destination can be long enough to really immerse yourself in the culture and meet locals or like-minded travelers.

And the best part is that it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend your savings on this experience. In fact, there are destinations where the cost of living is so low that you can actually SAVE money by living there.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly European destination, there are some amazing places where you can experience the romance of the Old Continent without breaking your bank account.

Here are my 5 favorite budget-friendly choices in Europe.

I might be slightly biased because I’m currently writing this article from my Budapest apartment in Hungary, but Budapest is one of the best choices in Europe for remote workers. The city has a lively digital nomad community, a very low cost of living, and a number of amazing coworking spaces.
