A lot of twenties dream about an independent life. Not having to depend on the parents for going out, for bringing friends to the house, to sleep over at your friend’s (with benefits)…

I wasn’t an exception.

The majority of young people move out their parent's house a few blocks away. They can always come back home for dinner, or ask their dad to check on ther bike.

Well, here I am the exception.

In 2019 I didn’t only moved from my parent’s house. Not only I left the city. I moved from my parent’s to start a new life in another country.

Which means I didn’t have my family nearby to go for dinner when the fridge was empty. My mom didn’t cook for me a delicious hot broth when I got sick. And I didn’t have my sister to go browsing to the mall when I was bored at home.

And, I didn’t have my dad nearby to help me fix my bike’s brakes.

Here are the TOP 6 things I had to learn after moving from my parent’s and moving abroad.

1. How to fix a bike
