Dominica, officially known as the Commonwealth of Dominica, is an island country located in the Caribbean.

It’s not to be mistaken with the Dominican Republic, another country located on an island shared with Haiti.

US and Eastern European citizens will be able to travel to Dominica for 6 months without having to apply for a visa — while Western Europeans will only enjoy the island for 3 months.

This should be enough to visit the Boiling Lake, a 90°C lake not far from the capital Roseau.

You’ll be able to take a stroll in the Titou Gorge on your way there, a narrow river in between rocks where they filmed one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

The Ti Kwen Glo Cho natural hot springs are recommended to unwind after a day of walking.
