The Journey
Over the past two weeks it has been a journey developing my time management skills, but overall it has been a very rewarding experience. I have learned a lot about time management that I did not know before and would have never found if it wasn’t for this project.
As far as applying my skills I have done several things over the past two weeks, the first is keeping track of all my homework in a planner and setting the due dates as a reminder in my phone. When I get home I then begin jotting all those assignments onto my big calendar on my desk. This small step has almost set my mind free, I feel like I can focus while I am doing my homework and studying because I am not constantly worrying about what assignment that I must do next. Another technique like this that I have been trying was the one by Kent Baker, he suggested that we make a priorities list, having both long and short-range goals on it. This technique has helped me out a lot with this project, I have been able to plan out which times and days that I am going to have to work on my blog posts.
The last technique that I tried to apply over the past few weeks was to get all my important work done in the morning before I get burned out and tired from the day, this has been a major key and my overall quality of work has improved.
If there were some final pointers I could give to my readers it would be:
1. Overcome your procrastinations
2. Plan out your free time or you will waste it
3. You can always buy more food or clothes but you can never buy more time so stop wasting it!
