Howard Williams likes to tell clients he is a ‘leader’ but does not tell them he had his legs broken when a drug deal went wrong.

A convicted South Wales conman who now poses as an estate agent set up a housing charity for former prisoners which took money from unsuspecting members of the public, with a man he had met in jail on a lengthy drugs sentence, The Eye can reveal.

We also showed in Howard’s way round part one how Howard Williams stole from his own parents during a life of crime, and marketed properties multiple times using controversial ‘lease options’.

We revealed how Williams has been jailed for a string of deceptions, yet now pretends he deals in millions of pounds as a successful property expert.

After leaving prison he co-operated with a fellow inmate, Leighton Saunders, to launch the ‘Crisis Housing Charity’ and asked for donations.

The ‘charity’ gave an address in Cardiff.

He spent part of one of his jail sentences in the city’s jail, and his parents spent some of a Christmas day outside the walls of the prison so they could be near to their son.

The website does not now exist.

He will have known his ‘partner’ Saunders has form with illegal drugs.

In March 2012 Saunders was jailed for two years four months at Swansea Crown Court for growing 45 cannabis plants and 33 cuttings with a potential street value of up to £13,400.

His own QC told the court it had been an operation to make a profit.

In sentencing him the Judge, Paul Thomas, said: (this was) a conscious, long-term decision to make a lot of money from crime”.

In his new venture with Williams money was ‘raised’ by events, ostensibly to help ex-convicts find homes.

As a supposed ‘expert’ Williams again now preys on vulnerable members of the public who give money to attend glitzy property events.

Williams is a bankrupt, yet claims to own properties in Spain.

On social media Williams calls himself ‘The Shoes’

We have disclosed how, like his former partner, he too has been a dealer in illegal drugs and ended up in hospital badly beaten with broken legs, after a deal went wrong.

The total jail sentences for Williams are four years and four months, involving 25 counts of deception over more than a decade.

He has in the past changed his name to ‘William Howard’, and offers ‘training’ videos on YouTube.

Apart from spending several years in prison, The Eye have disclosed how Williams has ‘knocked’ a number of people by not paying his bills.

One, a genuine property expert who knew him well, told us: “He owes me thousands of pounds.

“I should have been wiser, but he can be very convincing.”

Williams has a history of trying to secure money from unsuspecting members of the public by pretending to source homes for ex-convicts

In 2015 he sought cash through a crowd-funding Facebook site called ‘help-a-prisoner-find-a-home’.

Yet he had filed for bankruptcy a week before.

His second bankruptcy in 2010, followed action by the then Inland Revenue.

This though had little effect.

In an interview posted Online on December 29, Williams is described as a “lease options expert”.

Interview with a crooked ‘expert’

In it he tells a number of barefaced lies.

He says his first job was as a police officer (incorrect unless being a special constable is counted) and states his parents were property experts (they have problems paying their mortgage).

He also declares wrongly that he was the second biggest estate agent in Wales, but correctly says he has a taste for luxury cars.

It is worryingly clear that despite all the jail sentences and investigations Williams is still operating, and unsuspecting members of the public are being taken in.

Next week Howard Williams’ father Bill tells of the family’s suffering knowing their son has led a life of crime.
