In the United States, many social problems have their roots in an educational system that is often under assault. An inequitable system is promoted in a number of ways particularly as an inherent consequence of limited funding.

As a representative republic, power in the United States lies in the ability to influence the masses. The more uninformed, desperate, and ignorant the majority of the citizens, the easier they are to control. As a result, education in the United States of America will always be the target of sabotage from the actions of corrupt politicians and other special interest groups.
