Today the UnderAcademy College announced that it would post a story announcing its course in fake news.

According to co-digressor Talan Memmott, How to Write and Read Fake News: Journullism in the Age of Trump will “help students prepare for the vicissitudes of our fake time.”

The course will take place on the campus of the UnderAcademy which this term is primarily:

A Google Group

3 Medium Publications

And Twitter: #uacwtf

The chief organs of Fake News:

The Fake News Reader: (which you are reading) principal course site
West of Knob Lick: Our left-leaning broadsheet
CTRL-ALT-RIGHT: our right-leaning tabloid
The Trumpet-Blow Institute: our non-artisan think tank

Students are encouraged to create and circulate fake news stories daily — “only in the interest of education, of course,” adds co-digressor Marino.

Unfortunately, publication in these organs will not lead to “mad cash,” as Medium does not yet have a proper ad revenue set-up. Sigh.

As with any UnderAcademy College Course. Students, or student-teachers, are invited to complete, augment, and ignore any and all assignments or may create their own assignments, lectures, discussion sections, exams, et cetera.

The course runs Jan 20-Feb 10th. Enrollment is currently closed but additional seats are available via hacking.
