It is the team — stupid!
Well for starters the question basically implies that crypto is socialist run by crypto oligarch’s inspite of repeated claims by crypto evangelist who claim the otherwise!
We thought about it too and were a bit discouraged — I figured if we did not give new comers a chance then we all would be listening to old singers, watching old movie actors and still stuck in the 19 century!! We take so many things for granted — Can you imagine that the people who lived before 2006 never heard about the Iphone!! The good news is that in food no one cares about who runs the company — ask your self do you know the name of the CEO of coca cola? — in food all that matters is will consumers keep buying products sold by coca cola !
Now you may ask as to why we decided to take a smaller role after the token. The answer is obvious — one cannot be good at everything.
We looked and studied many tokens that were promising yet failed to take off and almost all had a common theme — The team had no real world experience nor the willingness to hire someone more competent to manage the project. Majority of the best developers well known in the industry are introverts and writing code is not the same as marketing or running an efficient business. It needs special set of skills that many programmers do not have. Infact at a recent hackathon I could hardly find one crypto CEO who could talk about their own company succinctly like a lawmaker.
We at FARM team are well versed with the regulations and licensing of food — but we believe that managing the ecosystem is best left to the professionals. We will be recruiting the best in the industry to manage the FARM ecosystem and bring the most value to our supporters. We will update our advisers list and the FARM Foundation website with the info after the successful completion of the Pres-sale. Recently at an event in New York I was fortunate to meet my icon Rohan Oza — I asked him about food and crypto. I am trying to explain in his words “food is hot — look at the numbers — they speak for themselves. Yes, selling it to the crypto community is hard and getting them on board would be an Herculean task- but at the end of the day people cannot eat money” — This presale would give us a good Idea to validate the concept and get the best in the industry on our team before the main crowd sale.
I am currently in discussion with a a few big name silicon valley VC’s who displayed tremendous interest in managing the FARM Foundation funds. I am not dropping names yet because their commitment is tentative and contingent upon we raising the funds for presale and validating the concept!
