Digital City Festival Fringe events at #FederationMCR
Join us at The Federation for a week long celebration of ethical tech from 9–13th March.
From 9–13th March the Digital City Festival will be coming to Manchester; five days of events showcasing the best in digital. The first ever festival of its kind, the Digital City Festival will be bringing together the leaders, creators and change-makers who are shaping the future of digital, and Federation are really excited to be hosting a week long programme of festival fringe events.
Throughout the week we’re going to be exploring the ethics of tech through some exciting collaborations between our tenants and community partners, focusing on different areas of #ethicaltechpractice every day.
MONDAY 9th — We’ll be looking at Data Rights and Privacy, joined by WeAreReply leading a City-Led SmartCity Scoping Session and Open Data Manchester CIC with a Declaration for Responsible & Intelligent Data Practice.
THURSDAY 12th — On Thursday our Greater Manchester Responsible Tech collective will be meeting in the morning, followed by a Data Discovery Workshop with Consent Kit, questioning Design and Development’s role in ethical tech.
FRIDAY 13th — To finish off the week we’ll be exploring Decision Making and Strategy by Mapping the GM Responsible Tech Ecosystem with WeAreReply and an excellent workshop on Reforming Responsibility Tool Prototyping by Hyper Island.
All our events are now live, so click on the links above to register for your free tickets today.
Supported by Co-op Foundation and The Federation, in partnership with Luminate.
