Abusive husband Mr. C.O. Cane assaults wife Mrs. Mary Jane

Drug-related violence is on the rise and the latest family to have been affected is that of Mr.C.O. Cane and Mrs. Mary Jane. Mrs. Jane had called the police two nights ago claiming that her husband was under the influence of narcotics and was physically abusing her and their daughter Elle S.D. . Mr. Cane was taken into custody and statements were taken from both his wife and daughter. Mrs. Jane had multiple broken ribs and was seen sitting on an upturned pot looking disillusioned when the police arrived on the scene. Elle S.D. looked terrified and was covered in bruises and didn’t say a word. Upon medical examination it was found that she had suffered a massive crack on her head.
Mrs. Jane is reportedly seeking asylum in Canada and is even considering moving back to her ancestral home in Jamaica. “I just feel like the legal system in Canada is more supportive of us, you know”, she said. “Now that my husband is in jail we can finally begin to weed the negativity out of our lives.”
Drug-related violence has never been higher and has taken its toll on society, tearing families apart and burning down bright, promising lives. Let us all pledge to reduce, if not end, substance addiction for a better, brighter tomorrow and for that to happen we must acknowledge the problem and help those who are in need of help instead of judging them.
