Cassandra, the protagonist, entered the scene. She was slim, had long blonde hair, blue eyes and a face and body which were carefully sculpted by a collaborative effort between the world’s best artists. Everything about her set her apart from other girls, and guys were all over her. But she wasn’t even that pretty.

She was forced to grow up too soon, in a world where life was a constant battle. As a result, she became reserved, withdrawn and serious.

Her best friend, Rick, had always been in love with her. He had an amazing sense of humour and they had fought evil side by side all their lives. Unfortunately, his love was fated to be unrequited, so he creepily pined after her a good portion of the time. This eventually led to the formation of a tragic love triangle.

Cassandra officially came of age. At this point she had to make the life-altering choice to leave her home and family behind, choosing to dedicate her life to fighting injustice as an experienced and enlightened 16-year-old alongside other experienced and enlightened 16-year-olds.

She was completely capable of taking care of herself until her love interest — the tall, dark and handsome James, came into the picture. However, any other person who could have saved her mysteriously disappeared so that he could make an appearance.

James was wild, enigmatic, mysterious and a gorgeous professional fighter and strategist, a deep, sensitive philanthropist with a six-pack. But she wasn’t even that pretty so he probably didn’t love her anyway.

Cassandra had ideals and didn’t want the relationship to move too fast, but was willing to sleep with him the moment the opportunity presented itself.

In the middle of the story, James decided to break up with her to protect her from his own inner demons. She was too precious to put in danger and she definitely deserved better than him. However, he couldn’t tolerate the thought of her with anyone else. So, he decided to stalk her every move instead.

Heartbroken by the end of her relationship, Cassandra threw herself into becoming part of fighting the enemy for the sake of the greater good. She started a movement with herself at the forefront and assembled an entire battalion to march towards victory against the unjust, oppressive people who held positions of power.

She was a tomboy through and through. But as fate had it, she was required to wear a dress one day. Hating her life, she put on the dress and had her friend Stephanie do her hair and makeup like a professional.

As she consciously walked into the room in the dress which showed a lot more than she was comfortable with, all the guys began to notice her. James saw her and fell in love with her again.

As the story began to reach its climax and the final battle approached, Cassandra fought and fought. The Darkness, led by a being who put the laughter in manslaughter, was a force of pure evil and contempt. She found herself face to face with the lead antagonist, nearly died fighting him, but managed to defeat him single-handedly, and lived to tell the tale.
She fell into depression seeing her friends and family dead. Rick’s lifeless corpse broke her heart, but she felt empty and couldn’t even cry. Life had desensitized her and now she was only capable of giving blank stares irrespective of how she felt. She blamed herself for the loss of so many lives.

As if on cue, James arrived again, consoled her and told her that he had loved her since he first laid his eyes on her. This validation was enough to wipe all memories of pain and sorrow from her mind. Within five minutes, they both forgot about the battle and the deaths of all their loved ones, kissed and lived happily ever after.
