Childcare at The Fifth Elephant and Anthill Inside 2017!

HasGeek’s conferences include free childcare on a first come first serve basis. If you don’t know how it started, it was way back in DroidCon 2016. You’d have seen the option to register for childcare when you fill in the details for your badge. The childcare facilities will be at the venue in a designated space. Childcare will be available on both days of The Fifth Elephant (27–28 July) and Anthill Inside (29 July). The facilities are provided by professionals

The facilities at the venue will include the following:

1. Free entry for the child, and one caretaker who is not attending talks. Caretakers don’t get a participant kit or sponsor handouts. They can buy tokens for purchasing food at the food court.
2. Designated play and rest area for children.
3. Activities designed to keep children engaged; play facilities and manpower to watch over toddlers.
4. There will be a microwave oven and hot water kettle to help you heat food for your child and give them boiled water. Free water dispensers at the venue serve filtered water.

If you have kids between ages one and thirteen, and would like to attend The Fifth Elephant and Anthill Inside, do reach out to us.

If your child is not used to multiple caretakers, please ensure you bring someone familiar along with you to the facilities. It will help you attend the sessions in peace without having to worry about whether your child is adjusting to the facilities organised.

To avail childcare, you should:

• Check the option of childcare facility when you fill the signup form after buying your conference ticket.
• Enter the number of children you will bring along.
• Add the age of the children. This is important because it will help the childcare facility providers plan activities for kids of different age groups.
