Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) is a global organization working to improve the lives of farm animals. They started a campaign asking Popeyes for one thing: to do better for chickens.

Chickens raised for Popeyes will suffer their entire lives. They will never experience the outdoors or even sunlight. Instead, they will live in a dimly-lit shed crammed with tens of thousands of other birds, bred to grow so big they often cannot support their own bodyweight.

In a new video, CIWF tells the story of their campaign asking Popeyes to make meaningful changes for chickens in their supply chain. Please watch and share.

CIWF is asking food businesses to commit to switching to healthier breeds of chickens that are offered better living conditions. They have had incredible success working with other companies, like Subway and Moe’s Southwest Grill. However, when Popeyes refused to join the conversation, they launched a Change.org petition, quickly gaining more than 150k supporters, to get their attention.

Join CIWF at their recent Atlanta-based protest to learn more the campaign through this video.
