Those 3% of “contrarian” studies that cast doubt on climate change are ALL flawed

You’ve probably had or read an argument along these lines before:

Sane, fact-based person: “97% of research published on climate change concludes that it is real and caused by humans.”

Climate change denier: “A HA! What about those 3%? They’re maverick scientists who haven’t buckled under to the political agenda of the climate change Left! It just takes ONE to be right. Just like Galileo!”

An academic study took a close look at those 3% of articles and, not surprisingly, found a motley hodge-podge of pseudo-science that couldn’t be replicated. Not a single one survived the authors’ scrutiny. Not. A. Single. One.

Said one of the authors, Katharine Hayhoe: “It’s a lot easier for someone to claim they’ve been suppressed than to admit that maybe they can’t find the scientific evidence to support their political ideology… They weren’t suppressed. They’re out there, where anyone can find them.”
