Picwits — Writeups from the session where we interpreted pictures
We asked Paperians to write down their interpretations of a few pictures that have some backstory.
Here is what they did, they went over and beyond interpretations and wrote stories!

Back to my school days when I was giving my class 9th class Physics exam.
I got stuck up in one numerical question which was a hard one to solve. Even after looking through all the directions to get my solution, I failed to get my answer. With all hopes, I just closed my eyes to recall an answer, but instead of recalling the answer, this picture came to me. Here, Albert Einstein is showing his tongue and teasing me by saying, “Poor kid, you won’t be able to solve it, just leave and move ahead!”

As the World started clapping for the Nobel Prize winner of this year — in came the brilliant Einstein. All were praising him for his work and presenting him with gifts. He took the Nobel Prize and gave a fabulous speech. When he left the stage, he broke out in laughter and showed his tongue. When asked, why is he making such a face, he simply said, “I won the Nobel Prize but you didn’t…hahaha!” before he ran off with the prize.
Actual Backstory: On Einstein’s 72nd birthday on March 14, 1951, United Press photographer Arthur Sasse was trying to persuade him to smile for the camera, but having smiled for photographers many times that day, Einstein stuck out his tongue instead (Source).

This picture clearly defines the post covid world where we all will run to meet our dear and near ones :)

At the beach, everyone wanted to buy drinks but the family had forgotten to bring extra money. A stranger who was passing by looked kind of rich to this family. So they decided to hug this stranger and be kind and loving to him till this man would give in to buying all of them drinks. The man was also smart, he was planning to hug this family so that he can have money to go back to his home. In this game of vested interests, they ran towards each other to hug each other.
Actual Backstory: The photograph came to symbolize the end of United States involvement in the Vietnam War, and the prevailing sentiment that military personnel and their families could begin a process of healing after enduring the horrors of war (Source).
