Marco Rose resurrected Leipzig last season after a stumbling start. As Leipzig climb the table and fought their way back into the European positions. Eventually maintaining their Champions League status for the 5th consecutive season. At the end of the last campaign, they beat Bayern Munich in the house of pain in Munich. Setting up a layup for Dortmund to win the title on the last day of the season. However, as we know, they failed to do so as their credibility in the title, race was shattered once again. All they needed to win one match and they folded with the pressure. Even if Leipzig gave them their control, they couldn’t take advantage of it. Dortmund is not to be trusted in a title race. Tuchel’s Bayern have unimpressed in his nine games. The reign of terror needs to end. After the captured 11th in a row at the death last season. Dortmund can’t be trusted however, Leipzig might be able to. The hope of a new Bundesliga champion rests at the Red Bull arena. Bayern Munich have added Kim and Rafael Guerrero. As they are looking to load up and battle for another title. Leipzig are the only ones that can stand in the way. Leipzig may have lost Nkunku and Laimer Dominik Szoboszlai and soon Joško Gvardiol will depart. But their first three deals have replaced three of them. They’re also in a good position defensively that it will not take much to deal with his upcoming move to Manchester City. As They’ll also have a ton of money to spend the amount of profit they’ve already made.

Reinforcements Already Signed

Leipzig have started the transfer window by addressing a problem before the problem existed. On June 23rd Marco Rose pulled off an incredibly sneaky deal as Leipzig reached an agreement with Hoffenheim for Christoph Baumgartner. Leipzig and Hoffenheim negotiated this transfer with no stumbling blocks as the deal closed very quickly. Hoffenheim accepted Leipzig’s opening offer of 27 million for the Austrian playmaker. The 23-year-olds agreed to terms on a 5-year deal as he is expected to be One of the critical pieces behind launching a title bid next season. Extremely intelligent and accelerated business. Theve already secured the acquisitions of Sesko and Seiwald as they’ve had their deals agreed for quite some time. On top of that Now adding Christoph Baumgartner One of the best playmakers in the league. As he was making headway with a severely underutilized squad. What Leipzig have done here is they have addressed problems before they exist. Nkunku secured a move to Chelsea for 60 million. Unfortunately Konrad Laimer left on a free to Bayern Munich and this past week Dominik Szoboszlai Left for Liverpool after his 70 million release clause was paid. Under normal circumstances, Leipzig would now have to spend money to deal with the three players that left the Red Bull arena this summer. However, Leipzig have operated one step ahead. The entire time. All three players had already been replaced. Leipzig does not need to operate with desperation or to splash the cash in the way, other teams would have probably had to operate in the market after losing three players. Nicolas Seiwald had a deal in place for 21 Million Benjamin Sesko had his deal for 24 million. Interestingly, Leipzig had already paid for the both of them months ago. Then to start the spending for this transfer window they bring in One of the best playmakers in the league in Christoph Baumgartner for 27 million a price that is possibly cheaper than his value. The sales of Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai Will make Leipzig 130 million in profit. Gvardiol is also allegedly on the move on the verge of securing a deal with Manchester City that is expected to be worth 86 million Leipzig have other defenders that operate on a high level and will have options to bring someone else in if necessary. But the beautiful thing about this latest deal is they don’t have to go and sign the center back if they don’t want to. They have others that can contribute to what the Croatian has done with Leipzig. Leipzig could pocket as much as 216 million in profit. Leipzig had their solutions before the problems. Before these three deals they already had the replacements. Just from a financial perspective to secure the three replacements they spent 72 million for the trio. However, they already spent and paid for the RB Salzburg pair so technically speaking they sold upwards of 200 million in profit will only spending 27 million. That means that Leipzig has So many options in which they can operate in the market. This is only the beginning We are at the very start of July. We still have all of July and all of August before the transfer window has closed. The three players they have brought in are direct replacements for the three players that have left the club. Benjamin Sesko is a young striker that has gifted goal scoring capabilities. He replaces Nkunku and very well could provide a similar production. Not to mention RB Leipzig still has Timo Werner and Andre Silva. The young Austrian attacker will only add to an extremely explosive attack that he will contribute to. Nicolas Seiwald replaces Conrad limer in the midfield. He is younger and has huge potential to be a really key player in Leipzig Next season. They lost Conrad Laimer on a free but the replacement has already been reeled in. Dominik Szoboszlai this week left the club for Liverpool after his release clause was paid. Christopher Baumgartner slides right into his role perfectly. The Austrian playmaker is truly a sensation. He was one of the best players in the league during the first couple months of the season when Hoffenheim was performing. Eventually the club got on a horrid stretch, but his impact and influence on Hoffenheim last season very well could be the reason that they avoided relegation. He’s been one of the best playmakers in the league for a long time and now he’s going to be surrounded by so much more quality. Much like Dominik Szoboszlai He is extremely versatile. With the ability to adjust his position. He can play in Central midfield. He also can go wide while still bringing a similar level of explosion athleticism and technical ability that we saw from Dominik Szoboszlai last season. Baumgartner is only one year older. He’s more experienced in the Bundesliga. He’s kept his level for longer. There’s no reason to think he can’t double his contributions that he’s been getting consistently at Hoffenheim at Leipzig. He may be not as highly regarded as the Hungarian, but the Austrian playmaker is an upgrade. Through the 72 million that they spent, they replaced each of the positions and the individuals that left RB Leipzig. Think about that. All three of these deals were secured more or less before All these moving parts. Two of these deals were already paid for before the summer transfer window. Essentially they have only spent 27 million this summer. Again. Very early in the window. Plenty of time to continue to operate at a high level in the transfer window. However, the point is we’re talking about upwards of 200 million to spend on top of the money they had available to spend in this transfer window. All the problems that could have existed were taken care of by the fact that the sign these three players before the departures started to occur. Marco Rose and new sporting director Rouven Schröder have been busy at work. They brought in reinforcements before they were necessary. Now they’re in a position they can go and upgrade the totality of the squad instead of having to focus on replacing the three players that departed. Baumgartner might be the best transfer we see in the Bundesliga this season. That’s just icing on the cake of the way they have operated and executed early in this window. They were addressing the issues before they arrived. If RB Leipzig spends correctly. They could find themselves in perfect position to make a run at Bayern Munich’s crown. The work is just beginning.

Best of the Summer? Christoph Baumgartner Will Shred at Leipzig

Christoph Baumgartner is certainly the one to focus on here RB Leipzig have certainly struggled. No one saw this coming. This isn’t because he’s not a fantastic player. He quite obviously is one of the best. Playmakers in the entire league. There’s a legitimate argument that he is an upgrade to what RB Leipzig had last season. From the impact he can have to his versatility to his wildly impressive skill set He’s one of those players that can make something out of nothing. He would have been a terrific signing for practically anyone. He is an incredibly special individual. However his move to the Red Bull arena happened almost immediately. It was a surprise move for Leipzig but in the end an extremely intelligent one. Marco Rose may have pulled off a bargain. I’d put this against almost any transfer in the Bundesliga this summer. At the end of the summer, this could end up being the very best deal in the Bundesliga. The Austrian is the truth. He is one of the most skilled midfielders in the Bundesliga. His playmaking ability is in a class with very few. Christoph Baumgartner over recent seasons has made magic out of nothing practically add a thin air. Hoffenheim only nearly survived the wrath of relegation last season. Over the last several seasons they have been a huge disappointment. They seem to have quality in their squad but they never seem to perform at the level that is required to reach the level of ambition that the club should set for itself. They simply have not been the same since Julian Nagelsmann left a while ago. Christoph Baumgartner as continually operated at a high level is always in the conversation for team of the season and consistently has been one of the best midfielders in the league. He has done this while subconsciously being around nothing. There’s been very limited quality around him on a regular basis. However, season in and season out he performs and delivers the necessary contributions for Hoffenheim. Considering the lack of talent around him, what he is done has been wildly impressive. Regardless of the lack of talent or the manager carousel that has taken place at Hoffenheim. His numbers, his contributions and his impact remain untouched and consistently effective. The dynamic midfielder that has great adaptability and versatility. Has continually delivered more or less the same numbers in each season. He is roughly seven goals and three assists in every season. Consistent productivity providing this for a team that lacks in so many areas. Hoffenheim went for months without winning a game. It seemed like they couldn’t find a way to get the points or results necessary to keep them in the league. Yet the Austrian playmaker always shows up and rises to the occasion regardless of what the result is at the end. 2 years ago Hoffenheim had the most points coming from behind than any team in the Bundesliga. The magic number being 21 He had something to do with the vast majority of those points from losing positions. He has delivered and been an impact on Hoffenheim consistently. He is still very young at 23 years old and it’s coming off his fourth Bundesliga season. The level of responsibility and pressure that has consistently been on his back and on his shoulders to uplift a Hoffenheim side that can never seem to give him the help that he needs. It has been his responsibility and his responsibility alone to keep them in the league and helping them avoid embarrassment. The last in particular have been extremely difficult as Hoffenheim have been hot and cold all the time. RB Leipzig possesses a truly incredible squad. They have a stack deck from top to bottom. So many players in elite positions along with very formidable depth. It’s not a coincidence that RB Leipzig have made the Champions League 5 years in a row. They have one that German cup and back to back seasons. Adding Baumgartner the mix now just makes them so much more dangerous. The Austrian playmaker developed a reputation of being one of the biggest game changers in the Bundesliga. He was doing all this while being surrounded by nothing special. Now all of a sudden he is going to be surrounded by so many attacking pieces that he will be able to feed off. The Austrian has asked for help for many years at Hoffenheim. At Leipzig the help is already there. He had about 10 goal contributions per season on a relatively poor Hoffenheim side. Take all that into consideration now. Think of what he’ll be able to do with the talent that is around him now. Developed as one of the best midfielders in the league with no help whatsoever. At Leipzig He’s going to have more help and talent around him than ever before. He could easily double his numbers this next season. He is earned his move to Leipzig as he falls into the lap. It is a near perfect situation. He comes into Leipzig as the type of player that can enhance everyone around him and this situation. He is finally surrounded by exceptional talent and will play under a coach that can maximize his qualities . Is extremely attacking centric. They are coming off back to back years winning trophies Baumgartner’s arrival only enhances how dangerous they can be. They can be a serious threat to Bayern Munich next season. This is only the start of this summer, but they’ve already struck gold with one of the baddest midfielders in the Bundesliga. At his best he’s extremely hard to stop, but now he’s going to be around quality that will make him that much more dangerous. He has all the attributes and qualities to make a name for himself even more in a team that has lofty ambitions. He was a menace at Hoffenheim. He will shred at Leipzig.
