Bayern 3 Bremen 0FT

On Friday night the league leaders would put their winning streak on the line against European hopefuls. Bayern Munich + Bremen meet underneath the lights to get the Bundesliga weekend off to a fabulous start. We are in Munich for this occasion. A city known for stunning agriculture, fantastic museums, and of course, Octoberfest. At the Allianz Arena this evening, just 15 minutes from Marienplatz Munich center of the city and Alte Pinakothek One of the most famous art museums in Europe. Bayern Munich have maintained their charge at the top of the table. Last weekend they nearly threw away A four-goal lead only to narrowly get by Kiel with a 4-3 victory. It exemplifies the quality of Bayern Munich while also showing some of the league leaders' issues from a management perspective. However, in spite of that, Bayern Munich has ripped off six consecutive victories in the league. Their last loss this season was at the end of December. They have maintained a charge at the top of the league as they are looking to regain their throne. Harry Kane is off to another historic start as he possibly will get his hands on a piece of silverware this season. Collectively Bayern Munich continually picks up results however internally their performances lately. Not all have been knocked out of the park. Meanwhile, on the other side of the coin, Bremen only has one victory in their last five matches. They are not having the best of moments. However, they remain within a distance of European possibilities this season as they look not to see things seep even further. The transfer window is officially closed and the gates at the Allianz Arena are officially open for the perfect setting to kick off the weekend in the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich host Bremen in Bavaria.

As many could expect, Bayern Munich was going to dominate the ball, particularly at home, creating a complicated environment for the visitors. However. Bremen has shown to be able to defend fairly well this season. However, Bayern Munich certainly a different animal. They got things kicked off inside of the first 10 minutes. In the 8th minute Jousha Kimmich send a ball near the touchline Sacha Boey takes a strike on goal before Michael Zetterer comes up with the save without too much trouble. He rotates his body to clog space in what turns out to be just a routine save. In the 11th minute, Kingsley Coman tests his range from outside the box unable to test the keeper. Bayern Munich continued to attack Bremen. In the 14th minute, Michael Olise makes a run forward coming off a free kick. Kingsley Coman sends a ball into the box, however, although they connect the header splits to the left with a few chances being issued by Bayern Munich from the start. In the 17th minute, Bayern Munich put forward their most pressing chance thus far. Michael Olise threads a ball forward for Jamal Musiala The Superstar strikes from close range but it stopped by the hands of Michael Zetterer as the Bundesliga veteran comes up with a stop yet again. In the 21st minute, Bremen finally picked up a little momentum. They win themselves a corner. Marvin Ducksch delivers a cross into the box Jens Stage gets his head on top of it. He makes a connection but it splits off to the left. A minute later in the 22nd minute, Marco Grüll makes a run inside Mitchell Weiser and gets him the ball from close range. The former Rapid Wein striker runs into traffic as it is deflected off of the Bayern Munich defense. However, it was just a short sequence as Bayern Munich went forward as more of an attacking consolation. In the 28th minute as they approach the half-hour mark Kingsley Coman makes a run towards the left side. He cuts into the box and hits a powerful strike, but again misses a little bit of a touch in front of goal. Flying off the handle into over to the right side. In the 33rd minute, Bayern's two young pieces connect as Michael Olise retrieves the ball from Jamal Musiala Before following through from distance, the Bremen defense closed down the space quickly as it ricocheted off. However, Bayern Munich don't let go as they persist with their attacking play. In the 38th minute, Jamal Musiala puts it through the air locating Harry Kane and making a run inside He gets a touch from it, but the goal-scoring machine lays it a little bit to the wide. As the first half was starting to wind down, Byron Munich still couldn't find a breakthrough In the 43rd minute Aleksandar Pavlovic looked to test the goalkeeper as he struck from close range. An outstanding save is made as Michael Zetterer extends to make a fingertip save pushing it over to the left. Unfortunately, shortly after Bremen lost their best player this season Jens Stage had to be taken out due to injury Skelly Alvero came into replace him. At the end of the first half in the 45th minute, Bayern Munich gave it one last chance Sacha Boey sent a cross into the box. Harry Kane gets on the end of it before splitting it off trail. The first half comes to a close with Bayern and Bremen without a goal of thus far.

The momentum truly seems to be complete with Bayern Munich. Bremen had a couple of chances in a very short sequence and outside of that they have just defended from the very beginning of the match. Bayern Munich is creating chances and has a huge advantage in possession while also having created significantly more. However, the touch in front of a goal has been lacking in the first 45 minutes as we can expect. Bayern Munich to open up their capabilities. Just a stretch further as the second half kicks off. Meanwhile, Bremen are stuck in limbo as they'll need to defend at an incredibly high level now that they have lost the key piece in midfield and we'll have to survive without their main creator. In the 46th minute, they immediately got on the break as Bayern Munich looked to finally capitalize. Jamal Musiala leads the break before sending a ball to Harry Kane. The scoring machine follows through smashing it into the post. As Bayern Munich nearly gets there. It seemed as if it was only going to be a matter of time until they did. The moment ended up coming their way, however it ended up being due to a Bremen mistake. In the 54th minute, the visitors give up a penalty. After having done so well defending the attack, they just gave Bayern Munich a layup. The referee pointed to the spot as Harry Kane stepped up. He sent it into the bottom left corner as Bayern Munich took a 1-0 lead. His 27th Goal of the Season as he has been an absolute terror this campaign. In the 59th minute, he looked to double up Michael Olise sent a ball into the box. Harry Kane comes close but narrowly misses the mark. Bremen couldn't go forward and in large part couldn't contain the defensive shape and go forward at the same time. They tried to veer forward as much as they possibly could have but they found it far too difficult to get anything going In the 67th minute, Joshua Kimmich sent a cross into the box Dayot Upamecano got on the end of it but they were denied by the goalkeeper. They came forward again in the 71st minute Jamal Musiala stings one from outside the box Michael Zetterer somehow gets his hands on the powerful strike that seems to be heading towards the bottom corner. The onslaught only continued. In the 76th minute, Michael Olise puts his head through a ball sent into the box however Michael Zetterer continues to display sharpness. Then in the 77th minute, Joshua Kimmich ripped one from outside the area again Michael Zetterer came up with the save. In the 82nd minute they finally pulled away Konrad Laimer put the ball in the area across from the right side Leroy Sane sticks his foot out before slicing it into the back of the net as they take a 2-0 lead. Then in the 90th minute, they managed to add another as Bayern Munich won a penalty in the area. Harry Kane stepped up putting it into the bottom left corner as Harry Kane scored his 28th goal of the season. The full-time whistle goes. It is a 3-0 victory for Bayern Munich, one of their better performances lately as they take a mass of three points at home following a victory in Munich.

Last week despite Bayern Munich coming away with maximum points, it was on the verge of humiliation. They were four goals in front and then everything fell apart. They needed a performance and they delivered one on Friday night. Although it would be easy to criticize how they got things started. With a penalty. Some poor performances this season in victories have been covered up because of situations like that like the Freiburg game for example. They were about to draw that game until a penalty and they ultimately cruised from that point to the victory. However, this one's a bit different they dominated from start to finish. Bremen could not do much of anything. They defended very well in the first half to keep them at her arm's length. However, with minimal possession and only a few chances in the first half, it became all Bayern Munich in the second 45 minutes. They did not attempt a shot in the second half. They tried to defend too much. They did not take enough risks in which they could have gotten forward and honestly let themselves down. The visitors did lose their best midfielder however, they should have done a lot better than they previously would have. They are still European hopefuls. However, if the form doesn't kick in at some point, they're going to talk themselves completely. Out of that conversation. They gave away a penalty and then Bayern Munich from that point felt in a very comfortable space. High possessional advantage creating most of the chances as it wasn't their best night at the office. Harry Kane's sports twice alpha penalty Sane adds another as Bayern Munich cruises to a fairly routine. Three points. After what happened last week, they needed a performance to hang their hat on and that's what exactly what they did on Friday evening. The first half seemed a bit chippy but once they got their feet behind them they weren't going to be stopped. Michael Zetterer was outstanding for Bremen. He kept at least two more goals from crossing the line. If it wasn't for his performance it could have been even worse than it was. At the full-time whistle, Bremen let themselves down outside of the goalkeeping performances as they have just caught a bug of inconsistency and can't get it out of their back. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich respond to a near collapse as they look to take a bigger step forward at the top of the Bundesliga. Harry Kane continues to be a goal-scoring machine this season as he is on the verge of surpassing 30 goals in all competitions. It's not time to talk about record watch in The Bundesliga as of yet. However, the record set could be broken if he continues at this pace. There are 13 matches left this season. Somewhat depressing to think that we're already well into the second half of the Season. However, that being said, the number he's looking for is 41 goals in 29. If Harry Kane ends up scoring 41 goals in 32 matches. He will not be truly the record that Robert holds. However, if he keeps this pace, he may touch it. Bayern Munich rips off a 3-0 victory at home to start the Bundesliga weekend.
