Inter 4 Atalanta 0FT
San Siro, Milan
Serie A kicks off the weekend with one of the most anticipated clashes this week in Italian football. As Champions Inter Milan battle Europa League winners Atalanta. We are in the iconic City of Milan, one of which has plenty of things to offer One of the most popular Cities for tourists outside of Rome, Milan is one of the most visited cities in Italy with so much history piercing throughout. Such as Duomo di Milano The centerpiece of Milan, the Duomo is one of Europe’s greatest architectural and cultural landmarks. As Italy’s largest church and one of the largest in the world, it took over 600 years to build. Today, the Duomo has a capacity of 40,000 people and is home to the world’s second-largest organ. Admire the wide selection of religious art on display inside, or marvel at the 3000 statues that line its Gothic exterior. Be sure to join one of the available Duomo tours, which include art tours and even rooftop tours, where you might be able to see as far as the Italian Alps. Milan's layout, with streets either radiating from the Duomo or circling it, reveals that the Duomo occupies what was the most central site in Roman Mediolanum, that of the public basilica facing the forum. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II For sheer belle époque splendor, this extravagant 19th-century glass-topped, barrel-vaulted tunnel serves as a lively, noisy, and colorful shopping mall, teeming with life and invites you to people-watching from the tables that spill from the Galleria's many bars and restaurants. The structure consists of two glass-vaulted arcades intersecting in an octagon covering the street connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. The street is covered by an arching glass and cast iron roof, a popular design for 19th-century arcades, The central octagonal space is topped with a glass dome. The Milanese Galleria was larger in scale than its predecessors and was an important step in the evolution The Galleria connects two of Milan's most famous landmarks: The Duomo and the Teatro Alla Scala, but the Galleria is a landmark in its own right. As we are at Football Cathedral the San Siro in Milan. Inter Milan dominated Italian football last season on their way to their 20th title. However, even though they remain unbeaten through the first two games of the season they haven't exactly lit the world on fire. They took a draw against Genoa to start the season and last weekend they narrowly beat Lecce. As they will face a big test against Atalanta. Meanwhile, The side from Bergamo had a fantastic start to the new campaign with a dominating display in the opening match only to get beat by Torino away from home last weekend. A huge match before the international break. One of these teams will feel a bit of discomfort At the final whistle. As the reigning Champions Inter Milan hosts Gasparini's Atalanta.
Inter Milan has had a decent start to the season. However, at home, They wanted to show their dominance on the big stage against a capable opponent. it was the perfect opportunity for them to do so. That's exactly what they did. Just minutes into Friday night's match. we saw last year's Inter In full force. In the third minute, Inter Milan displayed an extreme level of ball movement and passing as they unraveled Atalanta Very easily. As Hakan Çalhanoğlu starts the operation from Midfield quick pass to Barella then One touch to Mateo darmian another back to Barella then another to Marcus Thuram before taking a One-Touch strike that hooks on the end of the boot and to the back of the net as we just witnessed champagne football in its purest form. an incredible sequence of touch passing and a beautiful finish by the Frenchman. It would be credited as an own goal, but what a sequence from Inter Milan. As they take a 1-0 lead. A huge statement as Inter Milan completely picked them apart. This turned out to be only the beginning of the onslaught that was coming. In the 8th minute Federico Dimarco takes the ball down the wing before cutting inside dishing the ball off for Hakan Çalhanoglu As he strikes from distance Marco Carnesecchi comes up with the save. It would only delay the inevitable. Another one was on its way! In the 10th minute. Benjamin Pavard delivers a pass from outside the box Nicolo Barella steps forward before he follows through on his first touch. A perfectly hit strike as he buries it into the back of the net. Inter Milan are back! They take a 2-0 lead inside 15 minutes. They have scored twice already and it seems as if they are just warming up. As they start to tee off against the Europa League champions. Atalanta was completely blindsided by the instant attacking play from Inter Milan. Slowly They look to fight back and try to formulate something before the visitors are completely dead in the water. In the 15th minute, New arrival Lazar Samardzic sends a ball into the space of Davie Zappacosta he drives the ball toward the corner but Yann Sommer comes up with the save and comes up with the save. Mateo Retegui attempts to drive home the follow-up, but the young Striker puts too much on it as it glides over the goal But that very well could have been it for the visitors. A huge opportunity was wasted to cut into the lead. Atalanta despite a nightmare of a start, started to get a little bit more comfortable and started to attack Inter Milan. the home side still fully in control of it. Not being correct in all that effectively, but the visitors do open it up just a little bit more with a few more opportunities over the next few minutes. In the 24th minute, Marco Brescianini gets his head on the end of a ball sent into the box but is ultimately cleared out by the Inter Milan defense. Inter Milan comfortably held on to their lead as they sat back allowing the visitors to fight back. However, it's clear from a strategic standpoint That they were in control of it but also allowing the opposition to come at them could open up a mistake or too many players forward that could lead to a counter scenario. In the 39th minute, Marco Brescianini finds a ball for Lazar Samardzic As he stretches his range from distance at the end of the first half. it is well taken but it narrowly glides wide. This would end the first half with Inter Milan sitting comfortably with a two-goal lead as they cut in twice in the early portions of the match to put themselves in a very formidable position already with 45 minutes to go.
Even though as the game grew, the side from Bergamo slowly started to chip away at generating more chances. However, Inter Milan has been spectacular this far. as they are starting to look like the side that dominated the league last season. They will try to close out the second half to send themselves into a comfortable space heading into the international break. Meanwhile, early disaster from Atalanta But in the back half of the second half started to look much stronger even if they haven't been able to make a dent as of yet. As the second half began all the beacon of positivity that Atalanta was displaying at the end of the first half dissipated immediately. in the 49th minute, Inter Milan stepped on their throat essentially wrapping up the points for good. A dangerous ball is sent into the box. Marcus Thuram makes a brilliant run being at the right place at the right time as he follows through with a sliding strike that slides into the bottom corner. Inter Milan now open up a 3-0 lead. The side from Bergamo is as good as dead. As they have been ripped apart on three separate occasions. They started the first half very aggressively and in the second half, it would be no different. In the 51st minute, Federico Dimarco picks off Atalanta As they immediately get on the counter-attack he releases Latauro Martinez In a dangerous area however Last season's Golden Boot winner can't quite get the right touch on it to open up the lead even further as he narrowly Spears it wide. 3 minutes later in the 54th minute, Barella takes a well-connected strike from distance coming close to yet another one. A minute later in the 55th minute, the grim reaper would knock on Atalanta's door again. Marcus Thuram Again, positions himself in excellent space as he just toe-taps the ball as it comes across the area. once again picking out the bottom right corner to complete his brace as he doubles up in Milan as they take a 4-0 lead. The Frenchman has been off to the races this season having already put four goals in the back of the net. It's hard to stop Inter When they play like this. It's even scarier Because Martinez has not gotten on the score sheet and they're still wiping away a very strong Atalanta side. with the four-goal lead now Inter somewhat back off and just maintain a level of control allowing Atalanta to push at them and try to spin them off. However, last year's Champions were completely very organized made it difficult for them to get anything going even though they created some chances for themselves the side from Bergamo certainly didn't want To completely get wiped off the way they had as they searched for some consolation. In the 63rd minute Mario Pasalic has a stab at it from the left side of the box in the 66th minute Lazar Samardzic goes for it centrally and enters the defense completely. Unbothered and unthreatened by the attacking pieces from the visitors none of them have been able to have the fluidity and freedom to do what they would like. In the 70th minute, Mateo Retegui attempts to persist unloading an effort from the left side of the box. However, still something to be desired as the swish keeper has had mutually nothing to do all evening. Atalanta searched for late answers but they never arrived. In the 93rd minute Charles De Ketelaere delivers a through ball for Mateo Retegui However, is blocked on the finish. It puts a damper on what was a truly humiliating display in Milan as the full-time whistle goes Inter. Milan back in business with a dominating display. Nothing short of a masterpiece As they bury Atalanta underneath the San Siro with a perfections 4-0 victory.
Inter Milan Absolutely! ran rugged in Milan on Friday night. There's no two ways about it. They were always a step ahead. it ended before it even began. Inter Milan's opening performances haven't been all that impressive. while they have the quality to continue to win and they have done well enough. They hadn't put together a performance That we would expect from them. Inter Milan are back now! even though they took four points from their opening two games, there was some criticism surrounding enters inability to take a stranglehold on Italian football again with an early impressive performance from Juventus, many were suggesting that Inter probably won't win the league this season. It was a premature dribble as they put together a true masterclass against Atalanta. Even though they lost to Torino last week. the reality is they won the Europa League last season and they are one of the candidates to remain in the Champions League for the next term. this had a lot of expectations to be a battle but it turned out nothing but that. It was over so quickly as they tore them apart in the first 15 minutes scoring twice. Marcus Thuram forces in on goal. Barella hits a screamer and then Marcus Thuram scores two goals in the second half. They were scary. good on Friday night. the side from Bergamo never stood a chance even though they looked like they were building up a little momentum. at the end of the first half, they were kicked right back down as Inter Milan scored minutes into the second half to put them in a complete chokehold. Not to mention the opening goal of the match was a passing sequence that Picasso would feel proud of. The Inter Milan version that we saw last season has not shown up until now. however, there could not have been a better time to do so. Martinez still hasn't scored through three games this season yet. They absolutely crushed this evening. That's the scariest part about all this. they ran through one of the best teams in Italy without hesitation and their best player hasn't got the goal-scoring boots going for himself yet. When Martinez starts to find the back of the net regularly, they're going to be so much of a problem. Marcus Thuram has scored four goals in three matches to start the season. Inter Milan's number two has been sensational this far. Atalanta mishandled the occasion in many ways. however, nothing was going to stop Inter Milan on Friday night as they hung four on Atalanta they will head into the international break with momentum and confidence that they can continue to build on this. This wasn't an ordinary performance This was a master class as Inter Milan came away as 4-0 winners at the San Siro.
