Roma haven’t made many moves since the summer began with the European championships and Copa America amid things, negotiations with certain targets have stalled. Roma did take care of some business though as they secured Angelino permanently after being on loan from Leipzig last January. Roma also said goodbye to Rui Patricio and Leo Spinazolla Both having left as free agents. However, Roma has finally made a little bit of noise as they agreed to terms with 16-year-old Spanish talent Buba Sangare from, Levante. Roma has agreed to pay 1.2 Million to The La Liga Club for the teenage fullback. AC Milan was also interested in his services But ultimately Roma was the one’s to get the deal done. He was personally called by de Rossi during the negotiations, To convince him. The long-term future. He will continue his development In Rome. He arrived in the Capitol a couple of days ago before being introduced by the club. He has already joined training with the 1st team and will be a part of Roma’s preseason tour before the club makes a final decision on whether or not he will start with the primavera or the first team or perhaps even both. Roma make a low-risk High reward for a 16-year-old talent As it kicks off Roma’s summer. Roma continues to chase a striker with Alexander Sorloth from Villarreal, and Rodrigo Riquelme from Atletico Madrid. The two names most recently linked. Federico Chesia continues to be a Target out wide but currently, Roma is steadily working on bringing in Stade Rennais midfielder Enzo Le Fée. However, all that said Buba Sangare Is a strong start to the summer as they bring in a young talent that will continue to develop in Rome.

Time At Levante

Buba Sangaré got his start at Levante in 2018. Joining the youth academy there from Ilicitano Sporting. He joined the La Liga side at the age of 10. He went on to spend 6 years within the youth setup at Levante. He rotated between the Levante youth academy and Patacona which is an affiliate of Levante. He continued to develop into a talent and eventually, his time would come in La Liga. Last season he started to train with the first team. Last December he made his professional debut in the Copa del Rey against Amorebieta. He was only 16 years old and 4 months old at the time. The youngest player at the club will ever play for the first team. A month later he made his debut in La Liga against Athletic Bilbao he made one other appearance on top of that. The 16-year-old was picked to play on three different occasions for Levante last season. He has also spent time with the Spanish youth teams. He started out with a Spanish U15s In 2021 He has since played with the u16s and now with the u17s. Since 2021, he has made 29 appearances on Spain’s youth teams. He has a bit of international experience and has played with some of the top talents in Spanish football. He has been highly rated by the national setup but still needs a bit of room to grow. He arrives in Rome this summer looking to further that growth with a manager excited for his arrival in the Italian Capital. There’s a lot we don’t know and a lot We will figure out this season. However, you’ve done well enough to attract the interest of clubs across Europe. Roma gets his signature as we anticipate how he will be used this upcoming season and for the years to come.

Excellent Fit, High Potential & Low Risk

Buba Sangaré doesn’t have the most polished profile at this moment. He is incredibly inexperienced having only been a part of first-team football since last December. He has only played in 31 matches. At the Club level, he is only featured three times. So, it would be unwise to say that he is a sure thing. However, he has developed a good reputation in such a short amount of time. Only two appearances in La Liga one in Copa del Rey and then 28 in the lower levels of the Spanish national team. Despite that, it isn’t a lot of matches at this stage of his career. However, we must remember he is only 16 years old. He will turn 17 on August 7th before Roma’s first game of the season against Cagliari. However, relatively speaking, there’s a lot of room to grow. This is a perfect fit not only for the club that always has one eye on the future but also for the player himself Buba Sangaré finds himself in an ideal situation given the leaders at Roma and the mentors with the coaching staff and many of the other players. He will be a developmental project this next season. It is unclear how soon he will feature for the first team. However, Roma would not have pulled the plug on this deal unless they were convinced by his talent. From a purely transfer and financial perspective, there is very little risk in this deal. Roma only put down 1.2 million to Levante for the young Spanish talent. It is a deal that has huge potential with a high ceiling. Roma did not have to invest very much in this. Everyone around Roma has a lot of confidence about him and what he can become and the player he may turn into. In the case that he hits it out of the park. Roma will have made a hugely smart investment not putting too much on it. Well possibly getting a big reward from it. I prefer to speak positively about it however if this were not to go the way Roma would like. Roma only spent 1.2 million on it. So, it has huge potential just from a transfer in financial perspective of low-risk High reward. Roma will continue to develop his profile and turn him into an important player. 16-year-olds typically do not get moves to European clubs like Roma. They see something in the kid that he can develop into a special player. They would not have spent so much time on negotiating this deal had that not been the case. Buba Sangaré is not guaranteed to be involved immediately. However, there is plenty to like from this deal from both perspectives. This is an excellent fit. Roma needs a fullback. It is one of the things that Roma will focus on this summer. Outside of this deal coming across the line. He plays a position of weakness for Roma. This gives him a real chance to make a breakthrough into the first team at some point. This season. Of the players at Roma currently under the age of 18, a left-back is far more likely to break through in this team. Then a multitude of other positions. Attacking positions Especially it’s going to be harder to get game time and a breakthrough as a young player in Roma. As a left-back, the Spanish talent will have opportunities at some point this season. I don’t know what the protocol will be. I don’t know at what point they’re going to make a big move in terms of him getting into a squad or getting opportunities. Possibly in a lesser important game or maybe a Cup game. Perhaps the Europa League. However, those opportunities are more likely to come to him than, for example, a left-winger or Central midfielder or Striker. Roma will certainly bring in another fullback before the transfer window closes. However, regardless of who they bring in and how much they spend on it, there’s not going to be a ton of depth at this position, especially if we see a potential departure of Rick Karsdorp or Nicola Zalewski. He plays a position that will likely need depth at some point this season. This can potentially fast-track him into making a squad or even making an appearance early in the season. I don’t know how everything’s going to go, but certainly from this standpoint, the chances of him getting into the team sooner is strong considering the position he plays. Another reason this is an excellent fit. Roma’s youth setup has been the most successful of any team. In Italy. More players are a product of Roma’s youth academy than any other in Italy. They have also produced top players such as Scammaca, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Davie Frattesi, Alessio Romagnoli, and Ricardo Calafiori Just to name a few. The head of the youth sector is currently Alberto de Rossi. He is the father of Daniele De Rossi The Roma legend and now first-team coach. Alberto de Rossi has been responsible for many of the young pieces that have come through the aroma primavera. On top of that Tugberk Tanrivermis has done a brilliant job with the under-18s. It’s unclear exactly what will happen, but he’s done a great job developing many of the talented youngsters at Roma. I suspect he will spend some time with the Spanish teenager which will prepare him for the big time when he is given his opportunity. Although he is quite raw, he checks all the boxes. He plays a position of need. He’s extremely counted with a strong reputation in Spain, he’s going into the best youth setup for development with the Roma primavera and at the very least, getting to work under De Rossi a Roma legend in terms of going to a place that develops players, the best Roma is at the top of that list. There are so many players in Italy playing for teams that have gone through Roma Academy. He has all the tools required to come in here and make an impact this season. There’s so much about him that I don’t know. However, the indication of what the Spanish media think of him and the importance that Roma put on this deal, they feel as if they have a young talent that could develop into something truly special.

Roma’s Plan for Buba Sangare this upcoming season

As I had previously mentioned. It is unclear what the direct plan will be for Buba Sangare This upcoming season. He will be joining the team for their preseason tour, and we’ll get our first look at him. By all accounts, he is expected to be a part of the first team at some point this season. That is the direction that Roma are taking here. However, it may not happen immediately. It could depend on how he looks in the preseason and whether Roma will need him in the early parts of the Season. Roma on August 18th away from home at Cagliari. I would say it’s probably unlikely he will be on the opening matchday squad of the season. Roma will continue to get busy in the transfer market. Bring in some more pieces. So maybe he doesn’t go straight into the first team from the beginning of the season. I suspect that he will start the season in the primavera working under Tugberk Tanrivermis with the under-18s. It will be a good experience for him at the start of the season. The primavera has players such as Riccardo Pagano, Niccolò Pisilli, João Costa Three players also may start their seasons in the primavera. All three of them I suspect will be called up by de Rossi early in the season as all of them have made a couple of appearances with Roma. Those three sure will be featured this season. At some point. It will be a great opportunity for Roma’s new Spanish talents to learn from them as he is likely going to take a similar route to the first team. Those three are more likely to get into the first team first. However, the experience of working in the primavera could be very useful for him. Not to mention he’ll be training with the first team during the preseason tour players such as Dybala, Pellegrini, Mancini, Paredes, and some others could be others he can learn from. Not to mention de Rossi one of Roma’s best players and someone he would have at least learned about. He said when he was called by him he thought it was a prank. His interest immediately escalated after the phone call. There are so many key players around this Roma side that he can learn a lot from the key for him will be learning from those experiences talking to the senior players in the club and eventually he will get his moment in the Roma shirt in the first team. The plan is probably Primavera first then at some point this season coming into the first team more regularly. He has a huge talent so that may happen sooner than later, but I would suspect he starts with the youth team and then eventually works his way into the squad and on to the pitch. Regardless, Roma makes a long-term investment in the kid that has a lot of potential to do some really nice things this first season. There shouldn’t be huge expectations on him other than to show flashes and I think that’s exactly what he’ll do this season.
