Player of the season; Ciro immobile, Lazio

A lot of the time, some make player this season about who wins the League and who is the best player on a winning team. I’ve never believed in that philosophy; that’s why League success with Champions League success has very little to do with my choices for the Ballon d’Or Serie A player of the season. This is an award that is simply and purely about the most consistent performer in Italian football, someone that kept their standard all season long, showed up for the big games, and, regardless of positioning, holds incredible value to their team. There are only three names legitimately applicable Ciro immobile, Marcelo brozovic, and Berardi regarding this criteria. Over a 38-game season, Ciro immobile was A step Above the Rest. I would describe this season as masterful brilliance. Lazio may not be one of the beat Elite teams in the League, but that doesn’t undersell the season he had. Removing him from a situation, Lazio is probably outside of the top 10. Ciro plays with milinkovic-savic; the value he has in that team is undeniable; he constantly carries them on his back through each Challenge and each game. 27 goals and 2 assists, winning the Golden Boot, not to forget the immaculate at the outside of the League. Even though he doesn’t perform for Italy respectively, that doesn’t matter; it is not just about the statistics it is about so much more than that. However top goal scorer created the most chances and the most key changes, and overall, during the season, no player had a bigger influence on their team. He only had one poor performance all-season having multiple game-winning goals stepped up when they needed it the most they simply would not be in this situation without him. I take no pleasure in saying this at the end of the day, I am a romanista, but collectively from start to finish, it is difficult to find a player with more individual impact in the League to me; he just was a step ahead of the pack it doesn’t matter that where he finished, he was the best of the best this season.

Young player of the season; Sandro tonali, AC Milan

This is one of the more difficult decide with the breath of young Talent this season. Raphael Leao, Nicola Zalewski, or either of the sassuolo boys. Ultimately it came down to the range of growth, improvement, and influence regarding the league title. Sandro tonali last season was a player that was perceived as special and unique Talent. He had his reputation for being one of the cornerstones of Italian football. Had a very long season, and all the things that were talking about seemed like absolute nonsense. It wasn’t a pretty make-or-break season for him, but they were undoubtedly a lot of pressure on him to perform this season. I didn’t rate him at all during the last campaign, but his progression was undeniable. Sandro tonali started the season well and never looked back. A classic defensive midfielder that shows all the capabilities now should be that special talent we’ve been told he would become. Over the last two months of the season, there’s a legitimate argument to say that he has been the League’s best player. The midfielder AC Milan didn’t perform up to the standard we would probably have expected from a winning team last year; now Sandro tonali hit in that area, proving to be a box-to-box midfielder the AC Milan could rely on in key moments. With the level of growth over the last year, he is without question the most improved player this season, and no player in his age group reached the Heights showed this past campaign. He was a title-defining player this season, being one of the biggest influences on AC Milan winning the title once again. The stoppage-time winner against Lazio, in my estimation, is the reason why they won the League, making an impact at exactly the right time, beating the keeper in the 93rd minute that moment and itself handed the trophy he was a young Player of the Year it’s all the way through the season proving and shown to be one of the best midfielders in the League but that defining moment shows the impact and influence he had on the league title.

Signing of the season; rui Patricio, Roma

This might not be an overwhelmingly popular choice; I know what everyone’s going to say. They will bring up Mike Manion replacing donnarumma and providing exactly what is needed in the Milan goal that played a big role in helping them win the title. They would also bring up Tammy Abraham, the greatest debut season at the striker position in club history. Better than Montella and better than Gabriel Batistuta. 17 goals in the league this season and 27 in all competitions, replacing edin Dzeko, taking his number, proving his rightful heir. Both incredible deals Mike Manion cost 23 million, and Tammy Abraham cost 40 million. The cost of the transfer doesn’t hold the most importance. However, rui Patricio arrived in Roma Rome wolves for 13.5 million. Incredibly cheap transfer even for at the time 33 years old. However, he fixed one of the club’s biggest issues as Roma is finally found an adequate replacement for Alisson Becker. Rui Patricio was low-cost and became the best goalkeeper in the League, one of the best players in the League, and saved Roma in so many critical moments. Take a look at the Europa League race Lazio 64 points, Roma 63 points, Fiorentina 62 points, Atalanta 60 points. That is Europa League of incredibly fine margins. In important moments, Rui Patricio has the most clean sheets in the League critical stage. While this is about the league, look at the saves he made in the conference League final; his impact is undeniable. Roma has a back line that drastically improved during the second half of the season. Still, during the stresses of this campaign, especially before January rui, Patricio consistently was bailing them out of jail. Taking into consideration the price that was paid and the return Roma on the investment exemplifies the level of importance that is signing was it was signing of the season.

Manager of the season; Vincenzo Italiano, Fiorentina

This was an incredibly tight race for managers that vastly overachieved their expectations. Ivan juric taking relegation quality Torino into the top 10 with a highly average Squad. Then Vincenzo Italiano took Fiorentina into Europe for the first time in eight years. It was a callous decision to make as I considered a lot when evaluating what my choice would ultimately be. Ivan juric has been my manager of the season; the previous two seasons, the job he has done, Hellas Verona and now Torino, has been absolutely incredible and breathtaking. However, he becomes a victim of his own success to a certain point. We are all shocked by how well he did with Torino, but at the same time, we know the work he has done in the past and what he is capable of. This doesn’t make his season any less impressive, but even though they endured similar things this season, Vincenzo Italiano did something that had not been done in Florence in many years. Fiorentina has been under constant pressure to do something special ever since Rocco commisso became the majority owner a few years ago. In doing so, he could unrealistic expectations on a team that seems incapable of also filling them. Writing checks with his mouth, and his team couldn’t cash. From the outside looking in, it’s clear over that stretch they were not capable of qualifying for European competitions; they lost Federico Chiesa last season, and this season lost Duzan vlahovic, their top goal scorer still. He had to undergo a season with a crazy owner demanding success. Lost his best player in midseason and collected significant signings in January. Not only did it not affect the club’s ambitions, but beyond that, the performance of the team didn’t dip, securing conference League football for next season. Fiorentina returned to Europe had Sampdoria not beaten them in the second to last game of the season; Fiorentina could have finished in the top six; he was nobody’s first choice, fell into Florence, and pulled off a masterpiece.
