We edged closer and closer to the Euro 2024 final here in Germany. We have reached the semifinal stage between Spain and France. On Tuesday night we would be at the Allianz Arena In Munich to settle the semi-final. Spain and France have been among the most successful. France would be eyeing their fifth major trophy. France has mainly got here because of their strong Midfield and defense. France is still aiming for revenge from the 2022 World Cup in which they lost to Argentina on penalties, despite Mbappe scoring a hat-trick in the final. On the other side of the coin. Spain are looking to unlock their fourth major tournament. Spain has been the best team in this tournament thus far. In the round of 16, they took Georgia to the grave with a 4-1 victory, and In the quarterfinal, they beat Germany a minute before extra time. After Wirtz grabbed an equalizer for Germany in the 89th minute Merino header in the 119th minute saw Spain knock out the hosts in the last possible moment in Stuttgart. Now France and Spain clash their horns against one another in Munich with a spot in the final on the line and a massive opportunity for one of these historic Nations to add another major tournament to their resume. Everything to play for with a final on the line as Spain & France battle for a place in the final.

France has not looked their best at this tournament and because of this many believed that Spain would be the ones to get into the Final. However, France finally came alive at this tournament with an incredibly quick start. While we saw Mbappe come to life. In the 9th minute France. take advantage immediately. France just has unraveled Spain. Spain potentially could be facing a bit of trouble. However, if there was any Nation that could potentially put some pressure on France and force it into a complex situation, it was spanked. In the 16th minute, Mbappe fires an effort from the right side of the box. It is deflected off of the Spanish defense after being played in by Theo Hernandez. In the 19th minute, Mbappe would go for distance but faced the deflection once more. However, before not too long, Spain found a moment of magic from the youngest player on the pitch. in the 21st minute, Barcelona Scarlet Yamel takes the ball and unloads a perfect curler from the left side into the top corner Mike Maignan tries to get a touch on it. Yamel age 16 (381 days) become the youngest goal scorer in the history of the European championships. He has provided a few assists at this tournament but now finally gets on the score sheet. The kid will turn 17 before the final. however, he made his Barcelona debut at 15 years old and played an entire season in La Liga at the age of 16. Now he has arrived on the big stage with a big moment we have not seen a player of this age with this much quality in decades, Spain has a special player at has now made his light shine bright in Munich. It invigorated Spain as now all of a sudden they were the ones pushing. In the 25th minute, Dani Olmo would pull off the quick turnaround. the RB Leipzig midfielder collects the ball from inside the box before firing it into the bottom left corner as Spain takes a 2-1 lead. France turned over in Munich as they erased the early deficit and now find themselves in front still, a lot of time for France to get themselves back in it and still punch their ticket into the final. However, a quick turnaround for Spain certainly makes it look complicated. Even though France had their chances when they came forward and looked dangerous on the attack, Spain felt comfortable and was able to handle it. France had not conceded a goal from open play Spain before this had only conceded one. in the 39th minute, Fabian Ruiz took a strike from distance. the French defense was on top of it getting in the way of the attempt from the PSG midfielder. However, the score would remain the same with neither side being able to find the back of the net again as the first half came to a close. Spain held on to a 2-1 lead after a turnaround from a France goal inside 10 minutes.

France could not have started much better than they did. it was nearly perfect. they had the momentum going for them and then they got completely broken down by a bomb from 16-year-old Yamel before prompting Dani Olmo to give Spain the lead. France has the weapons but they have struggled in front of goal as this could be a problem for France. The French got after it Early in the second half in the 53rd minute Dembele delivered a cross into the box for Aurélien Tchouaméni It was well connected but did not affect Simon as he could catch it without too much difficulty. In the 56th minute, Mbappe comes up with an effort from the side of the box. it is extremely well-taken hit with power as it stings the hands of Simon but the athletic Bilbao goalkeeper still managing the situation. After winning a corner Dembele delivers a cross into the box Dayot Upamecano gets his head on the end of it, but it drags wide for the Bayern Munich center-back. France continues to struggle to create an awful lot after the first couple of chances of the second half. in the 76th minute, Theo Hernandez got a chance from inside the box. he completely mismanaged it hitting it nowhere near as it flies over. Time was truly running out for the French. they had a difficult time recreating the momentum they built in the opening minutes. They continued to try to be effective on the counter-attack. they moved the ball into attacking areas. trying to put as much pressure on Spain as possible. however, time was running thin. In the 86th minute Bradley Bacola supplies mbappe unfortunately he couldn't get the right touch as he puts it over the right corner. Time was running out for France as they could only make one last roll of the dice. In the 90th minute, Bradley Bacola connects with Antoine Griezmann. the Athletico Madrid forward tries to squeeze it into a tight area only for the Spanish defense to get in the way of it. complete possession domination from Spain keeps France at arm's length. the final whistle goes as Spain has punched their ticket into The final as they will remain heavy favorites to win it regardless of who comes out of the other side. Spain overcame a France goal in the ninth minute to complete a turnaround as the 2-1 victory in Munich is more than enough to punch their ticket into the final in Berlin.

Spain will be playing in their fourth final at a major tournament since 2008. they will also be looking to add a fourth major tournament to the trophy case. Since the year 2012, Spain has not been a serious threat on the international stage. After winning Euro 20 2012 Spain fell short at the World Cup in 2014. getting knocked out in the group stage. This would follow A round of 16 exit at Euro 2016. then Luis Enrique came in in the 2018 World Cup. they were beaten in the round of 16 again by hosts Russia. They pushed forward in Euro 2021 making the semi-final that was probably their best chance to win something significant. They were beaten on penalties by Italy despite having been the best team through the entire 120 minutes. Then at the World Cup in 2022, they were knocked out again by Pens in the round of 16 against Morocco. Luis Enrique made the round to 16 three times and a semifinal once. It's a big drop-off from what Spain was able to do before that. Luis de la Fuente was brought in. he has been associated with the Spanish national team for 11 years. He has been the manager of many of the younger teams before taking over in 2022 After the World Cup. The complexion of Spain has been completely different. They won their qualifying group in the group stage. they were untouchable despite having to play against Croatia & Italy. They did not concede a single goal in the group stage. They then go on to beat Georgia in the round of 16 survive against a more talented Germany side in the quarterfinals and then get through a front side. That was just a couple of penalty kicks away from winning the World Cup again in 2022 and we're Champions in 2018. France will be very disappointed. they defended at an extremely high level. they still made the semi-final so in terms of the big picture they did reasonably well for themselves. However, not only did they cough up a lead very quickly, but they only scored one goal from open play at the Euro 2024. France has one of the best teams on the planet. They are a stacked deck but we did not see them at their best. possible changes could be made in the upcoming months. it is unclear whether or not Deschamps will continue. They have disappointed again at the European championships after being taken down in the round of 16 back in 2021. They were the World Cup finalists and probably could have won the World Cup again. This France side isn't going anywhere. they certainly didn't put their best showing forward here in Germany. They dealt with issues and even though they defended extremely well and had a very good performance from their Midfield throughout the tournament, they just came up short and did not put their best foot forward. Spain will play the winner of either England or the Netherlands. regardless of which hand they're drawn, they will likely be very confident going into the final. France is a better team than both of the other possible finalists. It seems inevitable that Spain will be adding another major tournament to the trophy guest if not over until it's over. however, it's hard to see anybody taking out the Spanish as Spain. truly love like a team of destiny on the way to possibly winning the European championships for a third time. Spain beat France 2-1 in Munich as a final awaits them in Berlin.
