A Quick Message From David

Hey there!

Today I want to share with you an idea 💭 that played a large role in my desire to co-found and continue working on Footprint👣.

The majority of us have the privilege of living in countries governed by democracy.

The idea behind political democracy is a beautiful thing: changes are only made if the majority of people agree. What many voters are unaware of is that a big part of our economic system works the same way. In this case, our votes consist of Dollars, Euros, or in my case, Franken💰. Political parties consist of companies and corporations. Political ads are commercials for products.

💶
This gives us consumers a lot of power. With great power comes great responsibility. We cast votes with our consumption decisions every day. But in order to make positive decisions and influence change, we need more information than what is typically provided to us. We need to know about the production process. How serious does this particular company take human rights? How dangerous are the chemicals in this product? How do they treat their employees? You get the idea.

The information that we want to provide you with here at Footprint is the CO2 output of your consumption.

We want to provide you with a large piece of an incredibly important puzzle.

We are going to make it easier for you to make responsible choices in your everyday life so you know what the company you’re voting for truly represents.

Think before you buy 😉

Love, David 💚
