Announcing our $4.5 million seed financing

Today, we announced that Forge has raised $4.5 million in seed funding led by True Ventures and Resolute Ventures, in participation with WME Ventures. A syndicate of angels also participated in the round, including Vivek Paul (board member, Electronic Arts), Matt Mullenweg (Automattic), Jason Calacanis (Inside), Ryan Scott (Causecast), Hiten Shah, Jameson Hsu and Bob Ippolito (Mochi Media), Harris Barton, Walt Spevak, and Kirill Makharinsky.

In addition to our investors, we’re happy to be joined by our new advisory board members Kevin Chou (Kabam), Jason Yeh (Riot Games), Chris Kirmse (Xfire), Veronica Belmont, and Arjun Sethi (Social Capital).

Since we launched the Forge public beta last month, it’s been really exciting to see the community grow and more people sharing their favorite gaming moments. This round of funding will allow us to focus on development and and help bring the best experience to our users in making sharing their gaming moments as easy as possible.
