On January 20th the New Orleans Saints were beat in a bad loss by the Rams that ended in controversy and is still being talked about. That really hit the city of New Orleans after having such a promising season. Now Anthony Davis has requested a trade and the city of New Orleans is more than upset. Today I’m going to talk about the Anthony Davis rumors and where good destinations would be.

Keep in mind that Anthony Davis asked to be traded to a Contender, The Pelicans don’t have to trade him to a contender but if they were nice they would. The Celtics are out of the picture as well because of the Rose Rule. Keep in mind that some of these trades will not be realistic and I’m just having fun with this.

Trade Scenario #1:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Khris Middleton, Ersan Ilyasova, Thon Maker, Malcolm Brogdon, 2019 1st Round Pick, 2021 1st Round Pick

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Anthony Davis and Tim Frazier

The Pelicans accept this deal because if they can resign Khris Middleton and Julius Randle this season with a core of Jrue Holiday, Julius Randle and Khris Middleton, they could still be really good. Ersan is simply there so the contracts would match up, Thon Maker is young and could be a nice bench piece and Malcolm Brogdon was the Rookie Of the Year in 2016–2017 and could start at Point Guard for them. Plus 2 1st round picks that they could continue to build the core with.

The Bucks accept this deal because it brings Giannis another star into Milwaukee and Khris Middleton most likely wouldn’t resign. This trade would make the Bucks a for sure contending team and they could definitely stop the Warriors as they would have 2 top 5 players currently in the NBA.

Trade Scenario #2:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Tyreke Evans, Kyle O’Quinn, Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis, 2019 1st, 2021 1st

Indiana Pacers Receive: Anthony Davis and Kenrich Williams

The Pelicans accept this deal because specifically Myles Turner, Domantas Sabonis and the 1st Round Picks, Tyreke Evans and Kyle O’Quinn are there to make the contracts work out. But honestly I think Tyreke Evans could definitely revive his career with New Orleans again. Tyreke has played with Jrue Holiday before in New Orleans he wasn’t half bad. Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis are both very young and Sabonis is in the running for Most Improved Player.

The Indiana Pacers accept this deal because why not, There record is currently a playoff record and that 2019 1st would not help them. Victor Oladipo is injured this season and bringing in Anthony Davis would not just revive them this season but when Victor is back next season the 2 players defense on the same team would make them impossible to stop.

Trade Scenario #3:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, 2020 1st

Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Anthony Davis and Trevon Bluiett

The Pelicans accept this deal because Kyle Kuzma is balling, when I say I balling I mean balling as he averaging 20 points per game and 6 rebounds per game. Lonzo Ball is also balling no pun intended. But honestly Kuzma and Ball are both promising young pieces and Kentavious is just so the contracts will match up. This one is honestly the most realistic.

The Lakers accept this deal because it gives them another star to pair with Lebron and if your telling me the Lakers would win it all with a starting lineup of PG: Rajon Rondo, SG: Josh Hart, SF: Lebron James, PF: Anthony Davis, C: Javale McGee with Brandon Ingram on the bench. Trevon Bluiett wouldn’t do anything for them he’s just there.

Trade Scenario #4:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Tim Hardaway Jr., Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, 2019 1st, 2021 1st

New York Knicks Receive: Anthony Davis and Ian Clark

The Pelicans accept strictly because of the 1st round pick. Yes Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson are nice pieces as well but Anthony Davis won’t make this teams record that much better with the amount of games that are left so that 1st round pick could land the Pelicans a Zion Williamson or Cam Reddish or RJ Barrett or Bol Bol or any of the amazing prospects in a draft class I believe will be one of the bests we’ve ever seen.

The Knicks accept this because they get to keep Frank Ntilikina who is a pass first point guard. If you give any player in the league that has playmaking skills like Frank 2 of the best scoring big man currently in Anthony Davis and Kristaps Porzingis its game over and that Knicks team is golden. If the Knicks could find a way to get rid of Enes Kanter and Courtney Lee’s contract they could still snag a Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker or Klay Thompson in Free Agency.

Trade Scenario #5:

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Evan Turner, Jusuf Nurkic, Zach Collins, Anfernee Simmons, 2019 1st, 2021 1st, 2023 1st and cash considerations

Trail Blazers Receive: Anthony Davis, Kenrich Williams, Darius Miller

The Pelicans accept this because of the amount of 1st round picks they are receiving is really good. Evan Turner is only there for the contracts match up. Jusuf Nurkic is having a career year and is looking like he can become something in the future. Zach Collins and Anfernee Simmons haven’t showed us much but they are both still very young.

The Trail Blazers accept because of the Stepien rule. That rule states that a team can’t trade consecutive years of first round picks that’s why every trade above has years skipped in between. But this allows the Blazers too still have a pick every other year. Oh yeah and there receiving Anthony Davis to pair up with Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum who are both All-Stars.

Let me know in the comment section what you guys think of this article and if you agree give me some claps and share this with your friends. If Anthony Davis isn’t traded by tomorrow I may consider making a part 2 with 5 completely different teams. Thank You For Reading!
