The Memphis Grizzlies on February 3rd (the day I started writing this article) are sitting as the 2nd to last seed in the Western Conference and are the 6th worst team in the league with a record of 20–33. Now that is good and can land them a good draft pick but Mike Conley and Marc Gasol could easily make that draft pick better and the problem with that is there pick is top 8 protected so if it becomes higher than 8 so 9–30, the Celtics would receive that pick and the Grizzlies wouldn’t have a first round pick this year. My job is to make sure the Grizzlies get there 1st this year and pair Jaren Jackson Jr. with another young stud. There has been rumors about Mike Conley and Marc Gasol being traded but nothing has been official. I know that the Jazz and Grizzlies were close to getting a Mike Conley deal done and that’s where this rebuild will start.

Mike Conley (Left) Marc Gasol (Right)

Grizzlies Receive: Ricky Rubio, Dante Exum, Grayson Allen and, the Jazz 2019 unprotected 1st

Jazz Receive: Mike Conley, Omri Casspi and, Bruno Caboclo

Next is Marc Gasol and I saw Bleacher Report say the Pistons, Raptors, Kings and, Spurs being the front runners for Marc Gasol. The Grizzlies are simply asking around for picks and young pieces so because of that I have came up with a deal involving the Kings that looks like this:

Mike Conley (Left) Marc Gasol (Right)

Grizzlies Receive: Zach Randolph, Buddy Hield and, a 2020 1st Top 10 Protected

Kings Receive: Marc Gasol and Shelvin Mack

The Grizzlies team is now looking like this:

PG: Ricky Rubio | Dante Exum | Jevon Carter

SG: Buddy Hield | Garrett Temple | Grayson Allen | Julian Washburn

SF: Justin Holiday | Dillon Brooks | Chandler Parsons

PF: Jaren Jackson | Jamychal Green | Kyle Anderson | Yuta Watanabe

C: Zach Randolph | Joakim Noah | Ivan Rabb

Okay so now this Grizzlies team is looking a lot worse but also has added 2 future 1st round picks to the table and a very nice young player in Buddy Hield. They brought back Zach Randolph to mentor Jaren Jackson and retire apart of the Grizzlies.

The end of the 2018–2019 season is here and the Grizzlies finish with the 4th worst record in the NBA behind the Knicks, Cavaliers and, Suns. Zach Randolph retires and the Grizzlies are preparing for the draft lottery, Here is what the odds will look like for the bottom 10 teams:

1. New York Knicks 14%

2. Cleveland Cavaliers 14%

3. Phoenix Suns 14%

4. Memphis Grizzlies 12.5%

5. Chicago Bulls 10.5%

6. Atlanta Hawks 9%

7. Washington Wizards 7.5%

8. Orlando Magic 6%

9. Detroit Pistons 4.5%

10. Dallas Mavericks 3%

The lottery is over and this is how it looks:

10. Atlanta Hawks (via Dallas Mavericks)

9. Orlando Magic

8. Detroit Pistons

7. Washington Wizards

6. Chicago Bulls

5. Atlanta Hawks

4. Phoenix Suns

3. Memphis Grizzlies

2. Cleveland Cavaliers

1. New York Knicks

Now the draft:

3. Memphis Grizzlies: Ja Morant, Point Guard, Murray St.

19. Memphis Grizzlies: Jontay Porter, Center, Missouri

35. Memphis Grizzlies: Kris Wilkes, Small Forward, UCLA

We are focusing on the Grizzlies so whatever happens other than them we don’t really care about. It’s about time for Free Agency and the Grizzlies are ready to make a splash but they have to find a deal for Chandler Parsons. The Suns hear that we have Parsons on the trade block and offer us this:

Chandler Parsons

Grizzlies Receive: 2022 1st Top 5 Protected

Suns Receive: Chandler Parsons and a 2020 2nd

During Free Agency we made some really big splashes and brought in a couple new players and let a couple players leave. We brought in Jimmy Butler and Javale McGee. We let players such as Ricky Rubio, Garrett Temple, Julian Washburn, Justin Holiday and, Yuta Watanabe all left in Free Agency.

PG: Ja Morant | Dante Exum | Jevon Carter

SG: Buddy Hield | Dillon Brooks | Grayson Allen

SF: Jimmy Butler | Kris Wilkes | Kyle Anderson

PF: Jaren Jackson | Jamychal Green | Ivan Rabb

C: Javale McGee | Jontay Porter | Joakim Noah

Klay Thompson (Left) Jimmy Butler (Right)

The Jimmy Butler signing is definitely questionable but you never know what could happen in Free Agency. If the Grizzlies do what I tell them too and then sign a guy like Jimmy Butler, Klay Thompson or, Khris Middleton they could definitely be set for the future. This is all I have for you guys! If you wanna see me keep going with this team I will do a part 2! All you gotta do is clap up the article!
