Obviously I don’t own every NFL team so the takes in this are simply me just thinking what do I think is best for these teams. I am going to go through all 32 1st round picks and I will decide who I think they should take or if they should trade the pick. Let’s get into it.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

I mean come on this is the most obvious draft pick in a while. Only other scenario I could see happening is Urban Meyer liking the Ohio State guy Justin Fields and trading down to take him and rack in a bunch of picks but I think he should take Trevor Lawrence and be set for the next 15 years in Jacksonville.

2. New York Jets trade with Carolina Panthers: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

Now I think the Jets would be silly to move on from Sam Darnold. I’ve said this from the start. Sam Darnold is a great football player who in his NFL career has never had a good offense or good coaches. The Jets would obviously get a few more picks from this trade and be able to build around Darnold now that they have good coaching. For the Panthers they take Zach Wilson and give Teddy some competition in that great offense.

3. Miami Dolphins trade with Houston Texans: Justin Fields, QB, OSU

When I started this, I had no intention for 3 quarterbacks to go in the first 3 picks. But, I do believe that the Dolphins are the front runners for Deshaun Watson and this #3 pick that originally was the Texans but they traded it to the Dolphins. I think the Dolphins will trade this pick back and a few other pieces for Deshaun Watson and the Texans will restart with Justin Fields.

4. Atlanta Falcons: Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State

Matt Ryan is not the problem, he has never been the problem. The problem has always been this defense and blowing leads. Take the best defensive player because you have no way of moving on from that Matt Ryan contract and you have no reason to. Yes he’s old but he is still playing very very well. Build that defense up as much as you can and hope for the best because that defense just can’t keep a good lead.

5. Cincinnati Bengals: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon

Me being a Bengals fan if Penei is available and we pass on him, I will be very disappointed. We are pretty bad at the Tight End position so Kyle Pitts wouldn’t be horrible. I’d also take one of the top Wide Receivers because we just lost A.J. Green and John Ross. But, it is beyond obvious that we need to protect Joe Burrow and we haven’t done that in Free Agency so hopefully we do in the draft.

6. Philadelphia Eagles: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU

All 3 of the top Wide Receivers are still on the board and the Eagles get to pick out of all 3 of them. I think Ja’Marr is the best out of all of them. Yes Devonta Smith just won the Heisman but if Justin Jefferson was injured like Jaylen Waddle was then Ja’Marr Chase’s stats would’ve been very similar with Joe Burrow and he could’ve been in Heisman talks. Ja’Marr Chase will be great in the league and great for the Eagles.

7. Detroit Lions: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

With Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. leaving in Free Agency, they need weapons. Jared Goff is the new Quarterback with Matthew Stafford finally getting out and you have to put pieces around Goff. They spent their 1st last year on Jeffrey Okudah and he hasn’t looked amazing yet so maybe you could look at Patrick Surtain III or Caleb Farley but I think DeVonta Smith is your best option here and yes over Jaylen Waddle.

8. New York Jets: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

Yes they could very obviously take Jaylen Waddle but I think because of his recent injuries, Kyle Pitts is slightly better. You have holes at Wide Receiver and at Tight End. In Free Agency you signed Corey Davis and last year you drafted Denzel Mims in the 2nd round so Kyle Pitts is perfect here to keep building around Sam Darnold.

9. Denver Broncos: Trey Lance, QB, NDSU

At first I was going to have them take Patrick Surtain III or Caleb Farley but they just brought in Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller at the Cornerback position. Drew Lock has not looked anywhere near amazing. They have Melvin Gordon, Phillip Lindsay, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Noah Fant. This Offense has weapons and if you bring in Trey Lance then you can play Drew Lock until he isn’t performing or isn’t winning and put in Trey Lance.

10. Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain III, CB, Alabama

It was so obvious watching them this year that Defensive Backs were their problem and they couldn’t cover opposing teams Receivers. I think Caleb Farley could easily be a better player in the league but right now I think Surtain has him beat by a tiny bit. The Cowboys could also take Rashawn Slater and help protect Dak but I think Surtain will fit great on this defense and will help them where help is needed.

11. New York Giants trade with New England Patriots: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

The Patriots are seeing Jaylen Waddle still on the board and hop 4 spots to take him. The Giants just brought in Kenny Golladay and no longer need a Receiver. Looking at their team needs I see Defensive Tackle and Linebacker, maybe Offensive Line but they just drafted Andrew Thomas last year and I think they know they can trade down to 15 and still take a very good player. The Patriots brought in Nelson Agholor and a few Tight Ends but still have huge holes at the Receiver position.

12. San Francisco 49ers: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

At every single position on this team besides Cornerback, I see potential or a great starter. Richard Sherman is most likely signing somewhere else and Caleb Farley could replace him very well. They could go Running back here because they love having multiple but I think Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman are a nasty duo when healthy. I know Rashawn Slater is still falling but they just brought in Alex Mack and re-signed Trent Williams.

13. Los Angeles Chargers: Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern

I know they brought in a few guys in the past years in Free Agency but this Offensive Line needs major help. Rashawn Slater is a very talented kid. He shut Chase Young down last year in a big game against Ohio State. Their defense has holes but I think with a healthy Derwin James, he and Joey Bosa can hold the Defense down. Justin Herbert has shown how good he is and the Chargers need to protect him as much as possible.

14. Minnesota Vikings: Alijah Vera-Tucker, IOL, USC

This team could be in win now mode and I’m confused why they aren’t winning a whole lot. The team looks very good and other than a few slight holes on Defense, the only real need is interior Offensive Line and Alijah is the best in this class. Had a great past year at USC and will fill a hole immediately on day 1.

15. New York Giants: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

Yes they could’ve taken him at 11 and it would’ve made sense. Jeremiah is a phenomenal player and will perform day 1. But I questioned them passing on Isaiah Simmons last year and I don’t think they should make that mistake again. They get to trade back and add more pieces while still bringing in a great player. This is a no brainer and with the Kenny golladay addition, they could easily take the NFC West.

16. Arizona Cardinals: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama

They just lost Kenyan Drake to the Raiders and the starting Running back is Chase Edmonds. That cannot be good enough for Kliff Kingsbury and this offense. The Offensive Line needed help but trading for Rodney Hudson and drafting Josh Jones last year should help out a lot this year. This team could easily be a surprise sleeper team for a deep playoff run. Najee Harris in my opinion is the best Running back in this class and talent wise he should go before 16. But yes I know this is very early for him but people forget how big of an impact great Running backs can be.

17. Las Vegas Raiders: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech

Their Offensive Line went from one of the best a few years ago to now one of the worst if not the worst. They just traded Rodney Hudson and Trent Brown so they really need help. Darrisaw played very well at Virginia Tech and boosted his draft stock. I think this pick is very very simple. They just signed Kenyan Drake who is a really good pass catcher and they already have Josh Jacobs so this run game can be special. Bolster that offensive line and pray.

18. Miami Dolphins trade with Houston Texans: Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

I really wanted to go with Kwity Paye here to replace the recent loss of JJ Watt and Jadaveon Clowney but, they just lost Will Fuller to the dolphins and Brandin Cooks is their best Wide Receiver. He’s getting old and will probably not be in Houston very long so this is a really good long term pick for the Texans much needed rebuild. This Offense will never be the same without Deshaun Watson and Deandre Hopkins.

19. Washington Football Team: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State

I know Mac Jones and Trey Lance are still on the board but I believe that you should be comfortable with your future Quarterback options. Ryan Fitzpatrick who is known to lead teams in crazy ways and be a blessing to the locker room. With 3 young guys all with potential developing behind him in Taylor Heinecke who has had chances in places but almost got a playoff win in his first ever NFL game. Kyle Allen who played well in Carolina under Ron Rivera and Steven Montez who they drafted last year. Protect them and your Running backs!

20. Chicago Bears: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

I know in a lot of mock drafts he is going a lot earlier than 20 but this isn’t a mock draft. The Bears struck out on Russell Wilson, in this I have them striking out on Deshaun Watson because the Dolphins traded for him. So bring in Mac Jones because you are wasting this amazing defense with Quarterbacks such as Mitch Trubisky, Nick Foles and now Andy Dalton. Bring in another Wide Receiver somewhere else in the draft or Offensive Line and this team could be set for a playoff run in the near future.

21. Indianapolis Colts: Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

22. Tennessee Titans: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina

23. New York Jets: Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan

24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Liam Eichenburg, Notre Dame

25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

26. Cleveland Browns: Jaelan Phillips, DE, Miami

27. Baltimore Ravens: Tutu Atwell, WR, Louisville

28. New Orleans Saints: Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

29. Green Bay Packers: Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa

30. Buffalo Bills: Azeez Ojulari, DE, Georgia

31. Kansas City Chiefs: Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

I only did explanations for the first 20 but if you have any questions about 21–30 then feel free to ask me down below!
