Why Warriors bandwagon fans have ruined the NBA

Most people say that the Golden State Warriors themselves ruined the NBA by signing Kevin Durant after finishing the season 73–9. Which I agree with, but these fans have gotten worse than the Toronto Raptors finals record. In the 2014 playoffs the Warriors lost in 7 games to the Los Angeles Clippers. But in the 2014–2015 season is where it all started.

In 2014–2015 the Golden State Warriors blew up. This is where the fans started piling in. The so called fake or bandwagon Warriors fans started saying things like this “I’ve been a Warriors fan since 2010” and “My cousins, brothers, great uncle was a Warriors fan so I am too” and When asked to name what run TMC stands for (Ummm…Ummm…Ummm). As you can tell there horrible, there a waste of time and there a disgrace to the NBA.

The 2017 award show had a lot of new awards to be handed out. Including a lot of fan votes.

The first fan vote that made me mad was the assist of the year. The nominees were Chris Paul, Nikola Jokic and (Stephen Curry and Draymond Green). The thing that made me about Curry and Green winning is that they are both are top 12 in assists in the league. Nikola Jokic who I think should’ve won is only averaging 4.9 assists so for him to even be in the nominations is crazy. When you look at the passes Nikola’s was way better then Curry and Green.

The second fan vote that made me mad was the playoff moment of the year. The nominees were Isiah Thomas, John Wall and Kevin Durant. To be honest Isiah Thomas deserved this award more than Kevin Durant because, Isiah Thomas scored 53 points his career high on his sisters birthday who passed away a few days before that game. R.I.P. Chyna Thomas. But Kevin Durant won this award. Sadly because the stupid bandwagon Warriors fans a clutch 3 pointer beat Isiah Thomas’s 53 point performance. Even the TNT crew said they were surprised about the decision by the fans.

This one wasn’t a fan vote but how did Draymond Green win DPOY. The 3 main things for DPOY are Defensive Rebounds, Steals and Blocks. The other 2 nominees Kawhi Leonard and Rudy Gobert. Rudy Gobert had more Defensive rebounds than both of them. In blocks Rudy Gobert led the league with 2.6 blocks. In steals Draymond Green was tied for 1st place with John Wall. It is obvious to me that Rudy Gobert should’ve won but because of the Warriors bandwagon fans bringing the hype around Draymond and other Warriors he unfortunately won. Just to add in out of the total 295 deflections Draymond had he only recovered 93 of them which is 202 less.
