Just a month ago, we saw a Lebron James and Kyrie Irving led Cavaliers team fall to the super team Golden State Warriors in 5 games. Most of us thought this was going to be a longer series, as the if the Cavaliers would have executed down the stretch in Game 3, the series would have been going to Golden State tied 2–2. But that was not the case, as we saw the Warriors win Game 3, and make a huge run in the 3rd quarter of game 5 to basically win the game. With Lebron James turning 33 this winter, can he win another title?

Now, we all know that this Super team Golden State Warriors will be around for a long time, and with new developing teams like the Bucks, Wizards, Timberwolves, 76ers, it is going to be a challenge for a relatively old Lebron James. Here are the top 3 teams Lebron James could be most successful on to win it all.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Obviously, his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers can still beat the Warriors with a couple of changes to their roster. The only real bright sides to their teams that match up with the Warriors are their whole starting lineup, except for Kevin Love. Kevin Love, I believe can not keep up with the quickness of Draymond Green and can not keep up with the size at the Center Position. I believe Cleveland should make the Kevin Love-Paul George trade to enhance their chances at the Warriors, but that’s not all. They have to improve their rim protection, as Tristan Thompson had a horrible series defending the rim. Time and time again you see Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, Steph Curry, etc. getting easy access to the rim. They also have to improve their bench scoring. In the finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers bench only averaged 21 points, with their leading scorer off the bench being Richard Jefferson, only averaging 5.8 points a game. They really need a scorer to come off the bench as a spark plug, like a Lou Williams esque player. Adding a scorer who can take someone off the dribble and hit shots while also adding a solid rim protector to start or come off the bench along with Paul George, The Cleveland Cavaliers can beat the Warriors

Houston Rockets

James Harden, Chris Paul and Lebron James

Recently, the Houston Rockets have traded many rotational players for a Top 5 point guard in Chris Paul to pair up with James Harden in the backcourt. These two players are definitely both up there in the superior playmakers in the league. Why not add another superior playmaker in Lebron James? Lebron James and Chris Paul are best friends, so that may really help the decision. In 2018 Lebron James becomes a free agent and can very well sign with them. The rockets would of course have to trade away a big contract in Ryan Anderson for a salary dump. But that might be worth it. With a starting Lineup of Chris Paul, James Harden, Lebron James along with a developing rim protector in Clint Capela, this team can be the best in the league, specifically they can beat the Golden State Warriors. They would also have the reigning sixth man of the year Eric Gordon to come off the bench and be a spark.

Los Angeles Lakers

The city of Los Angeles is a very popular place for free agents to sign, as the culture of the Los Angeles Lakers goes as far back as the 1960s. Reports tell us that Lebron James and Paul George may team up to play for the Lakers. They would be joining a pretty decent young core in Lonzo Ball, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. But, for the Lakers to sign these players, they would have to get rid of at least one of these young players. Most likely, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson will be on their way out. By the time the 2018–19 season rolls around, Lonzo can very well be a star himself as well as Julius Randle. With a lineup like this, the Lakers can very well win a championship with Lebron James added to the squad as well as Paul George
