Scaling Through Adversity: How QUAD Digital Media Found Growth Amid Crisis
I spoke with Hussein Zeid , founder of QUAD Digital Media , after he attended The Freedom Workshop, about how his company is navigating growth during uncertain times. The conversation revealed some practical takeaways for business owners adapting to today’s challenges.

“Freedom for me meant scaling without increasing the workload on me as a founder — ideally even reducing it,” Hussein explained when discussing his business philosophy.
What stood out for me most was QUAD Digital Media’s counterintuitive approach to scaling. While many businesses were contracting during recent market challenges, they saw opportunity where others saw obstacles.
Their growth strategy centered on three key decisions:
- Niching down their client base — Rather than casting a wider net, they focused more narrowly, which paradoxically accelerated their growth
- Geographic expansion — Opening an office in Ashrafieh and registering in Dubai
- Community contribution — Making giving back a cornerstone of their business model
