Why freestyle football will never be as popular as football

One ball. Many sports. Only one known.

People who are there thinking that one day freestyle football will get the recognition it deserves. Forget about it!

People who are there thinking that one day freestyle football will be included in the Olympics. Stop Dreaming!

And those people who think that one day freestyle football will be as popular as the most followed sport in the world ‘FOOTBALL’, I don’t know what to say to you. But stop smoking whatever the fuck you are.

I don’t know how many times I have had this argument with people or am going to have with people in the foreseeable future, people just will not understand! They simply refuse to accept the fact that freestyle football and football are worlds apart from each other.

The situation does not limits itself to freestyle football. Time and again I read comments from people on Panna games, Futsal soccer and street soccer, that these skills are beautiful but will never help you in an actual game. What!! Do these nuts have any idea what they are comparing!

One more time I am compelled to post this picture. Take a look at it and remember that

FOOTBALL HAS ALMOST 8 DIFFERENT VARIATIONS (possibly more) THAT ARE PLAYED AROUND THE WORLD. EACH ONE OF THEM IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_types_of_football

Why is the world so obsessed with football? I get it that it is a very physical game that requires a certain amount of skill and a hell lot of practice to master. To be honest even I love football. But that doesn’t mean I will discard something else equally or even more appealing as just ‘skills’.

Football has its fan base established in the world. I don’t think so it is physically possible for anyone to affect that base in a lifetime. It will only keep growing. I have no problem with that. Football is a very interesting game and people should go mad over it even to the extent of murdering own’s wife for changing the channel while watching a game. True fact.

But when this love for one sport is used as a reason to neglect the presence of another art-form that is in no way related to that sport, then I have a problem. Going to post a few evidence below to support my claim.

You see how people always try and relate other forms of football to the pitch game. Why don’t they see their difference !

Football is becoming a bigger business day by day. Deals ranging from millions to billions are being done in one form of another to make this game even bigger. And where there is money, there are people. The big conglomerates are spending millions of dollars to make sure that people stay hooked on to their television sets and in the process force feed their overly priced, addictive products to them.

Well, it’s pretty useless now to talk about football right now. People won’t stop watching it (not that they should). I repeat again that I have nothing against football. It’s just the way that the world ignores everything around it bothers me.

The second biggest reason for this ignorance? The pretentious people who show off half minded tricks on social medias and call themselves freestylers. You know who I am talking about.

Their explanation for what they are doing — ‘The football world is a lot bigger than the freestyle football world’. What! So the things you are doing why are they not from your ‘football world’? Why are you using the things you gained from the freestyle world to promote yourself in the football world?

Trick shots — NOT freestyle football

Cross bar challenges — NOT freestyle football

Penalty challenges — NOT freestyle football

And whatever actual freestyle football they show is not even close to what freestyle football in the present time is.

Important noteThere are some genuine YouTubers out there who use the right proportion of these silly activities with actual freestyle football stuff. It is okay to use some of this salt and spice with high level of freestyle football, but when you base an entire channel on bullshit things, then actual freestyle football is bound to be lost under the heaps of that bullshit.

Freestylers? Haha

I am done now. Completely done. Who the hell am I to say something against people who have over 10 million followers (who these guys don’t give a fuck about) over the wide wide social media!

Freestyle football is the art-form of expressing oneself with the the help of a football. You do not have a particular goal, you do not have to abide by a certain set of rules, you do not have to make sure that you are in sync with someone else’s mind. All you have to do is be yourself and do whatever your mind and body feel like. Be creative, be free, be a FREESTYLER.

I mean and intended to say every word I have written above.
