Morning spills through our open window, a gust of sun rays and chittering cicadas. Your eyes are sleep-sticky when you blink them open.
Before 9am, I am just living to be lying by your side. I lean over to kiss your shoulder and your smile grows soft with lingering dreams.
This is a story for the Friday Fix July 24th prompt. This week’s was a line or a word from the song “Moonlight Mile” by the Rolling Stones. This is what I chose:
