Doorway View

50-word micro-fiction

The doorway blissfully was framed by nature, the trees rustling with those sweet brown swirls on the bark of the tree giving a serene and calming touch. Greeting others as we cross paths. People outlying, nonchalant & aloof better off. Daunting, how well do we know our neighbours & neighbourhood?

Author’s Note: As I stay in the nationwide lockdown in my country, in the pandemic emergency. I saw a lot of new faces around, I hadn't seen in a year. There are many more I am not acquainted with around in my neighbourhood. That’s how I arrived at my prompt for this microfiction.

What do you have to say about this? I hope you’ll write your story and share with here!
