Hurt and frustrated from the night before, Allison and Brian sipped their morning coffee in silence.
“You…you know I love you, right?” Brian murmured.
Clutching her mug closely, Allison whispered, “I thought you did.”
Words that meant the world to her yesterday were still there — yet something was missing today.
