Stephanie glanced at him. It had been a cold funeral. He longed for their bed. Missed the kids.

The car stuttered and took flight — weightless — crashing — shattering — rolling — rocking — stopping.

He opened his eyes to see her bleeding, shaking, but still here.

Eternity would wait.
