A microfiction on losing a loved one.
“Your daddy went off to climb Matterhorn”, my mum told me, a youngster, between her tears in her tranquil yet courageous voice. She poured a steaming, dark liquid she’d brewed into her vintage chawan, and parted my bangs to place upon me a soft kiss.
“Lo extraño tanto como tu.”
