The question lingered. I procrastinated. A delayed answer would buy me time.

A cooling breeze eased the heat. I could see the blistering sun through my shut eyes. It was pleasant but unusual for this country, I thought.

A voice shouting broke my meditation.

“Prisoner, do you want a blindfold?”
