As Eli peeked around the corner, he listened intently.

Everyone was upstairs. Perfect.

Scurrying to the kitchen table, Eli outstretched his hand for his treasure— before quickly stuffing them into his pockets.

“Remember Eli, only one cinnamon roll!” his mother shouted from upstairs.
