Response to the prompt: The Rainbow
Took ‘im years to come out,
havin’ been spurned
by his countrymen
for the sound of
his ineluctable urges, yet
for him there was nothing
more patriotic than bein’
sat down on a wet porch
singing ‘bout red flags, waving white’uns;
lager in his belly and
the rainbow behind him.
