Supporters of a second Brexit referendum in the UK have welcomed the appointment of Turkey president Recep Tayyip Erdogan as an ambassador advising on issues relating to successfully “subverting the result of a democratic vote”.

There has been widespread media condemnation in the UK of Erdogan’s decision to re-run the Istanbul mayoral elections after the opposition recorded a slim victory.

The People’s Vote campaign for a second Brexit referendum, however, is justified as leave voters clearly had no idea what they were voting for and had no legitimate concerns about sovereignty, immigration or freedom of speech.

“It’s never easy taking a stand against the democratic will of the people,” says leading race vulture and People’s Vote advocate David Lammy.

“Recep evidently knows what’s best for the Turkish people and I fully welcome his help on the People’s Vote team so we can finally show the 17.4 million racists, xenophobes and hate figures what’s best for them.”

Erdogan has recently also been accused of mass torture which includes electrocuting a 13-year-old child. This approach has struck a chord with radical leftists and verified blue check marks on Twitter who bravely shout down and assault political opponents in their pursuit of the diverse and tolerant utopia we all dream of.

The woman in charge of Twitter for socialist activism group Momentum — so she really knows what she’s talking about as she says stuff on Twitter — has said that fascists are thriving in the UK following Brexit and physical violence against them is always justified.

“Obviously Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is a fascist. Clearly Jacob Rees-Mogg is a Nazi. This is all well-known now but there are many others hiding in plain sight you might not expect,” she says.

“These include 14-year-old girls on YouTube, fathers up north whose daughters were raped by Muslim gangs and even your pet cat is probably a secret white nationalist. Worst of all you may be a fascist and you’ll have no choice but to punch yourself.”

Erdogan is yet to comment but is expected to arrive in Britain soon to advise Theresa May on how best to continue her magnificent efforts to sabotage Brexit.

Jess Phillips — the gorgeous Labour MP who triggered the alt-right by chuckling at the thought of a debate on male suicide rates — said: “Democracy only works when it’s producing outcomes that suit my world view.

“I’ll be damned if I let uneducated working class people decide what’s best for their future and their country.”
