Last week Worksmith was lucky enough to host Fully Booked Women for their event Butcher, Baker, Ice Cream Maker.
Hosted by teacher, writer and creator of Phenomenom Alice Zaslavsky, the night was filled with highly entertaining conversation with industry leaders about food, community and the future.
The panel included fifth generation butcher Ash McBean of Gary’s Quality Meats, owner of Lune Croissanterie and baker of the world’s best croissants Kate Reid plus flavour magician and ice cream whizz Karina Serex of Sundae School Ice Creamery and Tuck Shop Takeaway.

Watch: Grow Assembly Sydney — Change with Dr. Irina Santiago-Brown
Grow Assembly ventured into Sydney for its first event outside of Melbourne in early May, The theme of Change explored ideas from a team of hospitality legends from Neil Perry AM, Joanna Savill & Mitch Orr.
Dr. Irina Santiago-Brown is a winegrape grower and consultant in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Her research and passion is sustainability systems. She developed the first sustainability program for grape growers: Sustainable Australia Winegrowing (SAW). Irina also grows wine grapes and produce wines at Inkwell with her husband Dudley Brown. The new cellar door and accommodation Inkwell is about to open will be a benchmark in sustainability in wine tourism.
