Data has a Better Idea

In today’s fast pace world of tech, industries are changing rapidly. Everyone is looking for ways to be innovative and be ahead of the curve. Over the last few years, the number of internet and social media users has surged. It is estimated that more than 3.4 billion people are actively using social media platforms. With a completely new way to market more effectively than anyone has been able to in the past. A new innovation has been artificial intelligence which I believe is going to be vital for the future of business and marketing.

Artificial intelligence is using computer systems to simulate human intelligence that can include; learning, reasoning and self correcting. The future of artificial intelligence in marketing will be used to learn market and customer patterns. Once analyzing these patterns it will try to forecast the customers next move. Marketers with better analytics and data will better be able to identify target audiences. With being able to forecast trends and customer behavior marketing campaigns should have greater success and ROI.

Personally I am very interested in the innovative ways AI can be used to advance business. A lot of people are scared of it because they believe it will put them out of jobs but I believe developing AI and the expansion of the AI industry would just create new jobs. It should be embraced and not looked at as something to be scared of. It could help us with our jobs significantly and can help in multiple fields not just business. It will help us make our jobs more efficient overall.

When the AI industry expands even more it will benefit many business and AI programmers. Many blue chip companies are already hiring AI programmers to create softwares that will use AI to recommend products to customers automatically.

I know already that using AI can help humans save time by eliminating menial tasks. It can be used in customer service and customer engagement. Having quality customer service can be the difference between a high quality brand and competitors even if the product itself may be very similar.

How expensive is it to using AI in marketing? What are the long term and short term costs? How will companies make sure they use AI correctly and not eliminate employees simply because they believe their tasks can be delegated to a computer? Instead using it to enhance an employees abilities. What other fields of business will AI be used in?

For the future it will be important that employees are well versed in technology and are adaptable so they can be flexible with how quickly technology advances.
